Carved out faces in the light
Snuggle softly in the night
With candy, treats, and sweet delights
Warming each other by the fire
And candles burning bright.
We dress up and have some fun
An eve of spooks and spectral haunts
Outside, an army of lost souls
Laughter ringing on the streets
The colours of the hallow eve
Full of spiders, bats, and ghouls.
Spirits awaken the pagan ways
We roll together in the hay
To the sound of breathing in the shade
Our lips so tender and so sweet
Touching lightly there we lay
In pools of moonlight where we bathed.
Now here comes the enchanting spell
Cryptic words and runes
The tolling of an ancient bell
Witchy laughter bubbling
Skirts rising rustling
Dancing frantic round and round
The lads putting out their cheeks
The maids that sweetly kiss
Arms outstretched inviting
Feet tapping on the floor
Reaching out in a daze
Smiling bouncing lively
In the glow of their embrace.
