What did we lose
When the fruit was devoured
By greedy mouths wanting to be God?
What innocence was destroyed
And guilt imbued
By man's desire to overstep his bounds?
We long to be naked again
We long to be free
We long to be known
We long for Eden anew.
What have we forgotten
After that moment
Our very ability to be with nature?
What will save us
And make us naked and unashamed
And bring us back to God?
