Rumi's Annabel: Poetry Reimagined

in #hive-1614652 months ago

In ocean a land resides,

Where waves kiss,

The thin shores…

There liveth a love divine,

Hath whispered in lore.

A soul's eternal flame

Annabel is its name.

Loveth by love

Transcended in the sky.

Bond of perfection,

Angels grewth wise

Observing thee…

But lo behold,

Envy holds

Heavens conspired,

To part two souls,

Though our bodies

Remain so entertained.

The winds at night,

With a cold chilling breath…

Took Annabel to a realm,

Beyond death.

Yet no power on earth,

Could sever our love.

For the moon never beams,

Without the light…

And stars whispers softly,

In night.

In depth of soul

Shalth the radiant,

And beautiful

Annabel remain.
