Google launched "Bard", its new chat created by Artificial Intelligence, that stands up to its competitor Microsoft's ChatGPT, which in just two months of life has achieved great popularity.
In a note signed by Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, and published on his corporate blog page, it is detailed that until now "Bard" has only been tested by trusted people before its next public opening.
Although at no time does it mention ChatGPT, analysts say that this new Google chat is an obvious response to the launch of its competitor Microsoft, which increased its popularity and versatility due to its development together with the OpenIA firm.
Although ChatGPT has become popular, its ethical scope and potential for educational purposes in schools and universities are already being discussed.
What is Google's “Bard” and how does it work?
The first version of "Bard", the new experimental AI chat created by Google, will need a small size of bytes, to adapt to computers with less capacity, while Google manages to increase the "feedback" that will allow it to expand it to new types of users, with more powerful needs.
"Bart seeks to combine knowledge of the world with the power, intelligence and creativity of our great linguistic models," reads the blog shared by Google.
Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, explains that "Bard" takes its information from the web "to provide fresh and high-quality answers", noting that it can be used for creative purposes, but also purely informative, and gives some Examples: it would help a 9-year-old boy to understand the James Webb super-telescope or to learn more about the best goalscorers in current football.
Other uses of the "Bard" chat could be planning a baby shower for a friend, comparing two Oscar-nominated movies, or designing a menu based on what's available in a fridge.
This gradual process will make "Bard" gain speed and quality, they explain.

When will "Bard" be available?
Although Pichai explains that it is a lighter experimental version, he does not give an exact date of when it will be available. “These new AI features will start rolling out to Google Search soon.”
In addition, he adds that Artificial Intelligence is already being applied to make these “powerful tools” available to others, “And it is only the beginning; more to come in all these areas in the coming weeks and months.
