Back with another fun trivia :D
So, today I learnt that camels can eat cacti, which I guess makes sense considering camels live in deserts, and cacti is one of the few plants that thrive there..

Poor cacti. All those millions and millions of years of evolution to become practically inedible... And then here comes this weird looking horse and eats you 😂
With not much else vegetation growing in their habitat, camels have evolved to have tough lips and mouths that can withstand the long cactus spines. As for their tough outer layer, it stands no chance against a camel's strong jaw.
Their digestive systems are equally specialized for cacti consumption and easily break down and extract important nutrients and of course water.
