Gunnamatta Bay Baths and Park in Cronulla, Southerland Shire
Located in the Southerland Shire on the southern part of Greater Sydney you can find the not very well-known suburb of Cronulla which is the only seaside suburb directly connected with a train line to Sydney CBD in roughly 1 hour.
Cronulla is now my home and in this post and others, you will find the photos I am taking traveling in Australia.
Gunnamatta Bay is the location of the marina of Cronulla where you can admire yachts and boats, take the ferry to Bundeena, enjoy the calm waters for a refreshing swim, do a bit of kayaking or relax in the park.
Next to the Pavillon, with low tides, you can enjoy a stretch of sandy beach and very calm waters ideals for the kids to play with a bodyboard
When the sun is too strong and you want to cool down a bit you can go the nearby park and enjoy the shades while the children can play in the nearby playground
In this park, like in most parks in NSW, there are also free grills to use to cook some nice meat & veggies with your mates.
Gunnamatta Bay is literally 5 minutes from the train station of Cronulla and is definitely worth a visit!
