Today I invite you along St. Moritz in the Engadine Valley, Switzerland already discovered alpine winter vacations about 1864, enjoying here an excellent climate, sunshine almost all the time and a wide variety of events make your stay a pleasure. Because we want to take the Glacier Express tomorow very soon, we have to be in St. Moritz almost on time. The train started to Zermatt next day in the morning. So we will spend a day and night here in St. Moritz. First a view from the lake with the surrounding mountains, in sommer reflecting beutiful off the water, now in winter is freezes over and becomes a hub for various winter activites and events it can bee magical. You can overrun the lake and have amazing panoramic alpin mountains views.
As you can see they are busy preparing for the Snow Polo World Cup St. Moritz 2024 untyl 24-26 january.

A scenic stroll it is free and offers fantastic photos.
St. Moritz is not only a luxurious getaway but also closely linked to the Unesco World Heritage Sites, a protected areas with an unbelievable adventures.
St. Moritz offers many winter sports opportunities, such as the skeleton and bobs competition on the bobsleigh run, which we really wanted to see. Here a few views. The bobsleigh is one of the oldest and only natural ice bobsleigh runs in the world, built about 1904. You now the skeleton is one of the fastest and most thrilling sports in the world, the athlets can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h, very dangerous even just to look at therefore no photos about athletes as they passed by very quickly. I only ever caught the tracks :)
