Narrow and long, Bally Park lies between the course of the Aare river and the railroad line. The shoe manufacturer Carl Franz Bally began to improve the marshy land near Schönenwerd, canton of Aargau in Switzerland about 1868.
An oasis of peace to walk in this beautiful park with its English style grounds, ponds and canals with pagodas and grottos. The miniaturized pile dwellings houses are unique in Europe.
Between the canal and the railroad line, C. F. Bally had created a park where his workers could relax and enjoy the nature. The result was an industrial landscape for work and life, that was considered modern and social in the late 19th century. It have a factory hall, factory owners' villas, workers' houses, a boarding house and a park for rest. A perfect place to work.
Thanks for stopping by, have a beautiful day!
