Today I invite you to the most famous islands Italys. Capri is an island that lies on the other side of the Sorrento Peninsula. We startet from Napels with a ferry as well as beautiful views of the Tyrrhenian Sea a part of the Mediterranean, in one hour we are already here.
I would recommend to visit Capri in spring or at the end of the summer like now, not only because of the hot summer but also because of the rush of people, it is very busy and so it is really difficult to walk around in peace. It feels like a world shopping capital here on the small island with many designer boutiques, craft stores, souvenir locals stores, markets.
After arrival near the harbor you can take the funicular from Marina Grande the main portand so you can reach the islands center. On the top a lively square with charming cafes and boutiques.
Capri is largery cars free, only locals taxis, buses are allowed on this island. The roads are narrow thets why is best to explore on food. If you whant to reach the top of monte Solaro you can take a chairlift.
The see a beautiful turquoise color the white villas and lush gardens completed that island charm.
Coming down is much more beautiful to take walk, you have an amazing panorama view around. In any case with fornicular or a walk will be both a nice amazing experience. The first thing you see are the Faraglioni, the massive rocks that rise out of the sea and are the landmark of Capri.
Capri is home to several art works, here is the Spacemann.
Many shops sell handcrafted ceramics, oftendecorated with colorful Mediterranean themes like lemons or see. you can enjoy a mix von contemporary and traditional art with tasty food.
and back in the harbor ready to travel back to Naples.
Thanks for your visit, have a great day!
