That time in between.
In late November, I had to go to the HP service Center to hopefully get my laptop fixed. My two younger kiddos tagged along so we could visit The Mind Museum. We finished early at the HP Service center and I debated whether we should go to the Venice Grand Canal Mall or the Bonifacio Global City (BGC) to have lunch and pass time before our scheduled visit to the Museum.
I have not really explored the Metro for a long time now, having been away for almost 20 years. Both locations were unfamiliar to me, I only had my Google Maps to rely on.
Checking the map,I realized that the Mind Museum was just around the vicinity of the BGC, so we settled there. We took a Grab ride from Makati to BGC and just got off where it was convenient for the driver to drop us off.
Walking blindly.
It was fortunate that it was an overcast day in general. Walking was convenient since it was not hot. However, since everything was unfamiliar, it took us some time before we finally found a place to have lunch in.
We took time to stroll around and explore the area. I loved the fact that there were many benches and sitting areas for us to rest upon.
We were in no hurry. Time was a luxury we had that day,
Walking at BGC was also made very convenient by bricked pathways and designated pedestrian lanes for crossing. Unlike most parts of Metro Manila where crossing the road was like a game of life and death, at BGC, the drivers were more disciplined and actually gave priority to pedestrians.
Alas, my two companions were getting tired of walking. We kept on walking to the general direction of the Mind Museum, we still had a lot of time to spare.
Well at least we were already at the area and I won't be worried That we may get lost or something.LoL.
Destination Reached.
We saw The Mind Museum right across the street.Yay. But we did not cross yet, We still spent more time and just sat on one ofthe benches to admire the beautiful landscape in the area. It honestly didn't seem like we were in the Philippines.
Little man still got the energy to goof around. Here, he sat next to the statue of a soldier, depicted to be reading a letter from his family while he was deployed for duty.
"I wonder what's written on the letter," he said.
Behind the soldier stood a steel panel with the words of Lupang Hinirang, the Philippines' National Anthem.
It was a chance for me to tell the kids briefly about "patriotism". It is something that I would love for them to be more aware of, especially that they only stay here in the Philippines for only a couple of months at a time.
More to come at the Mind Museum.
After a while we went on and proceeded to the Mind Museum. More on our adventure there hopefully soon. It is now almost two months overdue.
Until then! Enjoy the rest of your day.
