INGLÉS

The historic center of the city of Cumaná has outstanding buildings that mix colonial and classic style, some are more than two centuries old and have been restored preserving its original design, among the buildings of this famous street where you can see various and colorful houses, which during the colonial era belonged to influential families; The church is located on Sucre Street, an outstanding architectural icon of the city for its design and interior decoration, the church is yellow and has two towers with silver dome termination, the towers have semi-circular windows on the front and sides where beautiful stained glass windows are located.

The main entrance has white railings and concrete stairs, followed by three white arches where the central nave rests, the door has three divisions and is also white and tinted glass.

At the top of the towers are located the bells and the clock, above each dome a gray iron cross, the central nave has a triangular shape and like the towers a cross at the top, several columns divide it into rectangles and in one of them is located a window larger than the windows of the towers but with the same design of these, the bars have a triangular termination and are decorated with iron forolesa and a cross, I love this decoration; The church is next to the Castilo Santa Maria de la Cabeza, a barracks and residence of the governors during the colonial period.

In the towers you can see several white cornices, which decorate the top, bottom and sides of them, next to the second tower you can see the stairs leading to the entrance of the fortress, the lamps located at the entrance are circular and those on the sides are lanterns that illuminate the street and perimeter of the church, plus the main entrance, has access on both sides, the doors are rectangular and wood; The interior is very beautiful, colorful stained glass windows and large columns give great style to the internal design, as well as its striking lamps.
