Come get lost with me in a corner of paradise: Cala Nova, Ibiza, Spain

Hello dear hivers!!! I hope you are having a beautiful day!!! This time I will take you for a walk to Cala Nova, a paradisiacal place in Ibiza.

Cala Nova is located to the east, north of Santa Eulalia and Es Cañar, two places I have already taken you to.

In the middle of summer, visiting Cala Nova is a pleasure, because it is one of the beaches that has less urbanization and offers an almost completely natural environment. The only bad thing is that this can play against you if you don't have an umbrella, as in my case.

After this experience, I bought one for €12 to better enjoy the natural surroundings of the island without having to expose myself to the sun violently.

To get to Cala Nova I took a bus from Santa Eulalia, the L24, which left me very close to the beach, but before, I went to a supermarket to buy something to eat. I bought a banana, an empanada and a ginger beer, non-alcoholic of course.

I want you to know that a seagull stole my banana, hehe. I could not record anything of the moment because I had my hands full of sand and candy, and my phone in my backpack, but well... it happened, hehe.

Upon entering Cala Nova, I saw a beautiful picture of Avatar. This led me to, days later, watch the movie for the first time.

Once in the cove, a place where I went alone because I needed a space for myself, I managed to connect with that blue sea.

I was extremely happy, since it was possible to swim and walk, and the beach was safe to leave things there. Of course, always with care and the responsibility of watching everything from time to time.

The sun got too strong in a moment, so I tried to get something to eat at a chiringuito (that's how they call beach bars around here), but the only one with reasonable prices only took cash and I didn't have any, so I had to keep walking. In this way, I came to some rocks that invited me to explore them.

I walked there for a moment and realized that that space connected with Es Cañar, so I went back, as I had been a few days ago in that other beach.

I stopped to take pictures and enjoy the scenery, but I had to admit that the sun was being quite aggressive, so I decided to go back.

Without a car and umbrella, the best time to visit Cala Nova in summer is during the morning season, or after 4 pm. In my case, I went just when the sun was strongest, between 11:00 and 16:00. I miscalculated the schedules and that day I wanted to rest a little longer, hehe.

This is one of the best known coves on the island, as many people go “surfing” there. It is one of the few with “waves”. You will see that in reality there are no waves, but it is a very big desire of many inhabitants of the island that in Ibiza there are waves, and when they see a minimum movement of the water they get excited, hehe.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that you enjoy these beautiful landscapes.

No wonder people love partying there, Ibiza looks really cool and the water is very pristine hehe. Is it always summer there?

Ibiza has the nature and zen part and the party and crazy one, hehe. It’s interesting.

It’s not always summer here, but people say that winter is not too cold but humid!
