At first it was a blurry, I couldn't see or make sense of it. Struggling each day seeking for something, maybe something new, maybe a fresh start, maybe something more...something out of my comfort zone. There where times I fell and I wanted to stay down, as it felt like the ground should open and just swallow me. Still I kept at it, holding on to an image that was blurry and a path that was unsure.
It has been few weeks since I came into England which is certainly a big move for me. Here a new chapter that I have hoped would begin one day is starting to become a reality, as I would be studying for my masters in a course I have always wanted to explore, Management with Tourism and Hospitality, in one of the universities in England. I am looking forward to this exciting journey and I hope to share them as it comes.
CASTLE HILL, HUDDERSFIELD
So I visited this beautiful place called Castle Hill (Victoria's Tower) which I read has been in existence for thousands of years. It has really amazing views from different angles, I mean you could literally see everything from there. You could go there for picnic, for self-reflection, as I told my friend, I would like to visit this place when I have to get away from the world lol, maybe think about life...just get away, this would certainly be perfect.
When I first saw this view I was just like wow, the view was just beautiful to see, being the local girl that I am...I needed to take pictures. You could literally most of the town, and I have noticed houses here look so similar, they have the same pattern (talking about the exterior). Unlike where I am from where you see so many buildings in different shapes and colours basically, so this is really interesting to see be honest.
I tried taking the pictures from different angles, I hope I was able to take a good one. This was taken from the bottom, (whatever that means), I think I like how it came out, with the emphasis on the sky.
I was actually hoping to get a look at the inside of the castle but it was not open at the time, I think it is opened only on specific days.
Castle hill is one of the recommended places to visit when in Huddersfield as it is one of the beauties and history of the city. I saw some others who were taking a tour of the place like I was, some having alone time with their partners, while this one person just sat quietly as he viewed the landscape...kinda felt think he had so much in mind he just needed to unburden, I certainly would go to a place like this for that.
So yeah it was a fun tour at Castle Hill, although a little disappointed I couldn't view inside of it but I hope I might be able to show you when it is opened for viewing, soon hopefully.
