A pleasant day , y'all amazing people!
These past few days have been a whirlwind of activity, cramming in so much to get ready for my daughter's return to school next month. Yesterday, we had her enrollment for 6th grade, which turned out to be quite an adventure. We got there early, beating the rush, and breezed through the process since there weren't many people around yet. Once that was done, our stomachs were growling, so we made a beeline for the nearest grocery store before stopping off at this cool new coffee spot. I'm already thinking about whipping up a coffee blog post about it soon!
Now, today is my birthday (16th of July), and I wanted to do something special. So, we decided to venture out to the Bakawan Eco-Park, the latest gem in a neighboring town. Being a nature lover, it felt like the perfect way to celebrate. We hopped on a trike, and within no time, we were surrounded by the lush greenery of the park. The serenity and beauty of nature just filled me with joy. It was a simple yet fulfilling birthday outing, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the day. So yeah, we decided to go on this cool adventure to check out Bakawan Eco Park somewhere in Bauang, La Union. Even though it was a bit of a trek from the main road, we were pumped for the journey. They call it "Bakawan" because of all the mangroves around, which gives it a real natural vibe. To get there, we hopped on a boat ride along the scenic Pudoc River. It was so peaceful cruising along, taking in the views of the lush mangrove forests and spotting some birds flying by. What really caught my attention was how they're working hard to protect and expand the area to attract more wildlife. It's awesome to see nature being nurtured like that.
Oh, let me paint a picture for you! As we stepped into the eco park, a sense of tranquility washed over us. The only sounds that filled the air were the gentle hum of birds, the symphony of insects, the whispering of bamboo leaves, and the crispness of the fresh air. It was like nature's own orchestra playing a soothing melody just for us. One of the standout features of the park was this incredible, long wooden bridge that stretched over a sea of massive mangroves below. The greenery was so lush and dense that it felt like walking through a vibrant green tunnel. It was a sight to behold—something out of a dream. I couldn't help but capture the moment with a few photos as my daughter and I strolled across the bridge, taking in the natural beauty surrounding us. As we crossed the bridge, we caught a glimpse of a boat docked beneath us. Its presence added a touch of mystery to the scene. I couldn't quite tell if it was in use or simply a picturesque part of the landscape, but either way, it added to the park's charm. The reflection of the boat on the calm waters below created a sense of serenity that was truly magical. Despite the sun shining high above us, the canopy of trees provided a cool respite from the heat. The gentle breeze rustling through the leaves created a comfortable atmosphere, making our midday stroll all the more enjoyable. It was like nature had crafted the perfect setting for our visit, offering shade and a refreshing vibe that made the whole experience feel like a blissful escape.
As we continued our exploration, we stumbled upon this charming park-like spot tucked away on the east side, boasting a wide lot filled with young tree seedlings. It was like stepping into a mini-forest nursery, brimming with life and promise. Surrounding the area were inviting benches, perfect for relaxing, unwinding, or simply basking in the beauty of nature. Seeing my daughter starting to feel a bit weary, she settled onto one of the benches, soaking in the serene surroundings. Towering acacia and narra trees provided a peaceful canopy overhead, casting dappled shadows that danced on the ground below. The tranquility of that moment was something truly special—a chance to slow down and appreciate the simple joys of nature. I couldn't resist capturing the essence of this tranquil oasis with a few more photos as I wandered around, trying to freeze those magical moments in time. Time seemed to slip away too quickly, leaving me wishing we had more hours to spend in that peaceful haven. Being enveloped by nature's embrace was a breath of fresh air, a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was a great day. If I have another chance, I'll visit again soon.
After a leisurely stroll and some heartfelt moments of reflection, we made our way back, each step filled with gratitude for the experience we had shared. It was a journey of discovery, a day filled with wonder and connection to the world around us. Leaving the park, our hearts were full, carrying with us the memories of a day well spent in the company of nature's beauty.
Until our next adventure, my friends. Have a great day to you all. Thank you for stopping by!
