Greetings bloggers, I hope you are all very well, a while ago I published a post referring to the Mantopay Camp called "Mantopay Peace Camp", this new post aims to give it continuity so that readers know a little more about this beautiful region of my country the Great Savannah.
Saludos hiveblogueros espero estén todos muy bien, hace un tiempo atrás publique un post referido al Campamento Mantopay llamado "Mantopay Campamento de Paz", este nuevo post pretende darle continuidad a fin que los lectores conozcan un poco más de esta hermosa región de mi país la Gran Sabana.
Leaving Camp Mantopay we find the Community of Kavanayén, an indigenous community founded by Capuchin friars. It has a very beautiful church made with stones from the area, as well as the houses. This community was decreed by UNESCO as a Natural Heritage of Humanity.
Al salir del Campamento Mantopay nos encontramos con la Comunidad de Kavanayén comunidad indígena fundada por frailes capuchino. Tiene una muy hermosa iglesia hecha con piedras de la zona al igual que las casa. Esta comunidad fue decretada por la UNESCO como Patrimonio Natural de la Humanidad.
After buying some groceries (everything is more expensive here) we continue towards the Karuay river waterfall. This trail is one of the furthest from civilization and the closest to the Sierra de Aparaman with its beautiful Tepuyes.
Después de comprar algunos víveres (todo es más caro aquí) seguimos rumbo al salto del rio Karuay. Esta trocha es una de las más alejadas de la civilización y la más cercana a la Sierra de Aparaman con sus hermosos Tepuyes.
We walked through these beautiful places that remain preserved with the Ptari Tepuy watching us, the solitude, the stillness, the breeze sneaking through the small bushes and the song of the birds in the distance were our company.
Paseamos por estos hermosos lugares que se mantienen conservados con el Ptari Tepuy obseravandonos, la soledad, la quietud, la brisa colándose entre los pequeños arbustos y el canto de los pájaros en la distancia eran nuestra compañía.
We arrived at the beautiful Karuay waterfall but since we had no intention of camping there since we know that the puri puri are voracious here, we spent a while appreciating the beautiful river, which by the way is the same one that comes down from Mantopay.
Llegamos al hermoso salto karuay pero como no teníamos intenciones de acampar ahí ya que sabemos que los puri puri aquí son voraces estuvimos un rato apreciando el hermoso rio, que por cierto es el mismo que viene bajando desde Mantopay.
We returned along the same trail and stopped to see the blanket of chlorophyll from a hill. What a spectacular sight. With the evening going to bed, we decided to camp in the bakery that is near the asphalt road so that we can start our return in the morning.
Nos regresamos por la misma trocha y nos detuvimos a divisar el manto de clorofila desde una colina. Que vista espectacular. Con la tarde acuesta decidimos acampar en la panadería que está cerca de la carretera de asfalto para en la mañana emprender nuestro regreso.
With the dawn and the aguarapao eyes we slowly said goodbye to the green sea, the tepuyes and the majestic waterfalls of this indomitable region La Gran Sabana. I hope you like the Post and may peace be with you always.Let us remember that we are part of Nature, we must conserve it.
