Experience the Magic at Universal Studios Japan
Our next adventure in Osaka was a visit to Universal Studios Japan! We were so excited to experience the rides, see the characters, and explore the different themed areas of the park. Even though it was raining when we arrived, there were still so many people, and the energy was infectious.
Convenient Location 📍
Universal Studios Japan has allowed people ease of access because it is located close to the metro. It's conveniently located, and there's even a train station right at its doorstep. Though we rode a bus going there, I was still excited to see that we can easily ride the metro from the theme park.
🎟️ No More Queuing with Type C Ticket 🎫
We got a Type C ticket for Univeral Studios, which allowed us to skip the queue for entrance. It was a great investment because we didn't have to wait in line to experience the theme park. Our tourist guide, Rick, also did mention it is one of the most expensive tickets available in USJ which I don't have any idea about because it is pre-arranged by the travel agency we got.
🎡 Amazing Attractions and Design 🎨
The details of each attraction are really amazing! It is as if I was transported to the world that I see in movies and television. I was brought back to my childhood after seeing all my favorite characters like Elmo and the gang. There are a lot of souvenir stores located on each block and each store features famous universal studio characters. Oh, how I wish I have a lot of money to buy them all.
I got the chance to see Elmo and the gang having fun with the crowd! It was really amazing seeing these characters in real life!
👥 Surrounded by Japanese People 🇯🇵
It is my dream to be in Japan and be surrounded by so many Japanese people. It was a really great experience, I feel like I am in an anime episode where the main character is transported to another world he has the power to capture all the fun things in life.
🎢 Must-Visit Attractions 🎭
We took advantage of the chance to try out several attractions. We were cautious at first, fearing that we would not like it due to the huge lines, but we were blown away! We were able to visit the following attractions during the day: Jurassic Park, Jaws, and Harry Potter. Unfortunately, the Water World show was closed in the morning, and we were already shivering from the rain, so we didn't attempt it, and the Nintendo World requires a separate ticket, which was sold out, so we couldn't go there.
At first thought, a half-day would be enough time to see and experience all the fun attractions, but I was so wrong. We could easily have spent an entire week there and still be in awe of all the fun attractions and activities that you can watch and see. How I wish I could stay longer I really can’t wait to go back.
Here are More from Universal Studios Japan
Here are the little yellow devils messing around with the paint! If I am not mistaken this is Kevin and Bob. These minion characters are so fun. They are located in the Despicable Me souvenir store. Inside the store are merch and products minion-related
Now here is a photo of me with Spiderman, just making sure that he is good there hanging around in the corner. I am not sure if he is doing a thumbs-up or a thumbs-down.
And of course, the famous fixing your hair pose.
Harry Potter! 🌩
We didn't miss the chance to try the most famous butter beer from the movies!
P.S. This is non-alcoholic
Look at that Garlic! Here is an iconic structure from the movie! Hogwarts yessir! The feeling in this area is truly magical, even the black lake is really detailed.
Here is a photo of my travel buddy Mon, on stage featuring THE BUTTER BEER!
All aboard the Hogwarts Express! I was actually hoping that I can see @holoz0r here.
Jurassic Park!
This is the first attraction that we visited, and at first, we are so hesitant because of the long line. But since we have the whole day to spare here, why not try them all right?
At the entrance, there is a notice there that the wait time is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. It includes the orientation and lining up with other passengers who also want to try the ride. It was raining during our stay and there is a warning that we will be extremely wet on this ride. Luckily there is a vending machine for raincoats in the park and we managed to buy one for 100 yen.
The line did not last for an hour, we managed to enjoy the ride after lining up for around 40 mins.
Here is the souvenir photo that captured my reaction on the ride. There is a surprise at the very end of the ride that's why people are shouting. Let me see if you can find me in this photo lol.
And yes! I also brought home this guy! Really cute right?
JAWS!
We also line up in the JAWS Boat ride. It was an awesome experience, the Japanese crew was really great at role-playing. Even though I can't understand the narration I was so having fun with the very animated acting of the crew. It is like watching anime without subtitles.
The Mario Cap
And before leaving, I bought the Mario cap!
My Universal Studio Experience
Overall, I had so much fun in this park and I can't wait to come back and experience the other attractions. We weren't able to try the food offered inside the park because of the lack of time. That is for sure I will try next time. In my next travel blog, I will be sharing with you our night experience after going to USJ!
