It's a pleasure to see this post about Istanbul! A city that I fell in love with when I visited it and I hope I can come back to visit it someday.

I remember, the nice surprise the first time we walked down
İstiklal Caddesi and discovered Saint Anthony of Padua Church, magnificent!

Interesting the history of the Kamondo stairs and I found it curious that the zigzag shape is to avoid that if someone falls down does not reach the bottom. I remember them as being very steep, so it makes a lot of sense.

And it's funny but I have a picture with my son on our visit in front of that store that has the Vintage Clothing illuminated sign, we went in 2019 and I see it's still there, cool!

Thank you for this tour :)

Best wishes to you in this year ahead, cheers!

Wow! What a coincidence that there is a photo of you and your son there! It is another good coincidence that it has remained the same for 5 years. I am happy that you loved Istanbul so much. I hope you will visit again soon and this time we will have the opportunity to sit and have a coffee together. I have always wanted to meet Hive users.

Have you heard the story of these stairs before? It has a very aesthetic shape and it might have been built to prevent people from falling.

Thanks for stopping by and your nice comment ^^
