Hello everyone, today I continue with the article about Duc Son Pagoda, a temple that is nurturing homeless, disabled, and abandoned children. Today's article describes a meal that our volunteer group prepared for the children.
We transport pre-prepared food from Da Nang city to Hue. Upon arrival, we will transport food and ingredients to the temple kitchen. After that, we will divide people into cooking, someone to help cook, someone to pick up vegetables, someone to clean the dining room, someone to set up meals for the children,... We will try to finish the work before 10:00 a.m let the children start eating.
After a while of cooking, we finished cooking and next served the food and divided it equally to each table. Because the number of tables is quite large, we sent 4 people to do this. The dish we prepare for the children is beef pho. A traditional Vietnamese dish. Each table is full of necessary items, vegetables, bowls of pho filled with meat,... I think the chidren will have a delicious meal today.
Seeing the children eat, I feel very happy. They look like they're eating deliciously. The smiles on the children's face are our happiness. Our volunteer group also often comes to the temple to prepare a hearty meals for the children. The children here are very pitiful because their parents abandoned them or the children have difficult circumstances, disabilities, etc. So we also want to bring a little something to them in these difficult times.
While the children ate, our group also took the opportunity to take commemorative photos here. Everyone was very happy when they saw the children eating well. I am very happy to be with the group. I hope the group has many meaningful programs like this and everyone else will join hands to contribute to good things in this world.
