Wonderland contains peaceful moments in a crowded tourist city of Da Lat

When coming to Da Lat city, a city of tourism, owns beautiful pine forests and diverse terrain. People flock to it to travel when they have a chance to rest and partly to escape the heat of the big cities in the lowlands. Most days of the year it has a pleasant and cool temperature because it is located at an altitude of over 1200m above sea level. In the early morning and at night, the temperature changes quickly and drops low, so almost all hotels and accommodation here do not use air conditioning.
The average temperature fluctuates around 20°C( 68°F). So I think a motorbike is an interesting option when you visit here and can make a convenient impromptu stop when you come across something impressive.

However, I personally find that, in the past 10 years, the speed of immigration and construction has lost a lot of the value of a sad and quiet city. When moving in the streets, the number of people is crowded, noisy and dusty. So many people traveling, including me, often move a little away from the city center and look for attractions, stay near the pine hills, where there is little population and have a wide view of the forests. . Wonderland in Ward 10, Da Lat city, Vietnam is one of them. It is a combination of accommodation, restaurants, and coffee, also a landscape with a beautiful view overlooking the famous Mimosa Pass road. It is about 16km from the city center and located in the middle of the Mimosa Pass. I often choose places like that to do one important thing of the day, "breathe"

It will cost us about 80000 VND/adult, equivalent to nearly 4 USD including entrance fees and 1 optional drink. If you want to stay and have fun here, the rear complex (with 3 separate areas connected to each other) and the side of the hill next to it will have both unique rooms located between the pine forest and the entertainment area. Because me and two friends just happened to walk along the Mimosa pass and came across it by accident, so we just chose to visit and stop for a drink here. This area they built on the hillside next to the pass, it has an interesting uphill slope. What I like most about it is that it is quite large, with lots of trees and flowers and less concrete. They make up a viewing area next to enjoying a drink or snack. And there are also some entertainment items such as musical instruments, or billiards, ...

In the evening, there will be private and peaceful dinners with the family in the huts or tables and chairs made from wild rattan trees. It is a vine-like tree that can grow to more than 40m long, specialized in knitting handicrafts and making tables, chairs, and bags. However, here they are quite elaborate to create unique hand-crafted works. This type of tree has the advantage of being durable, malleable and not susceptible to termites or damage by a lot of weather. Moreover, it also creates closeness and purity when I sit here on close natural materials. I appreciate these works.

In fact, when viewed from above, it looks like a small garden of an old farmer who knows how to choose the view in front of his garden or like the nests of birds on the forest trees for those who like to imagine. Although many dark clouds obscured the sun, it did not obscure much of the wildflowers, ornamental flowers and pine forests in the distant mountains. The interesting thing here is that they decorate with wooden furniture showing the old days, which is very suitable for a peaceful space so that I can nostalgic. Some items such as tables, chairs, mirrors, or old suitcases they used in the past on cog trains crossing the mountains to this city.

I walked around this area to enjoy this green space plan of the owner of this place, accompanied by chords by the sound of wind blowing through the pine tree tops. The distinctive howl of the pine tree, which I love, is quite pleasant, an instrumental piece with many unique high and low notes.

Since the mountains cover the entire area, there is a diversity of both other animals and birds if you really open your ears. I think staying here is quite worthy as part of this city travel plan. When you are overwhelmed and run out of energy while having fun in the city. This place only has green, quiet and relaxing space for you to recharge your spiritual vitality.

Thanks for following the trip.

Đà Lạt đẹp thiệt, lãng mạn quá luôn

Tỉnh du lịch hàng đầu cả nước,vừa lãng mạn vừa nhiều bất cập. Đi du lịch ít ngày thì ok e

Wow, what a lovely view this is.

A healthy morning with a cup of coffee, a romantic dinner in the evening

Da Lat is most definitely on my "next trip to Vietnam" list so very much appreciated your post. Do you have rain there too? We're having incoming summer storms in Northern Thailand and it's HOT.

Craving me some peaceful, cool & green time!

That is a good choice.
You should prepare carefully, the rainy season here will start from July to November.
If you are traveling with family, rent a car and stop walking any trail in the pine forests, it will be quiet and comfortable. Or bicycle if in good health, because it is quite a lot of up and down slopes.

The rainy season here in Thailand is much the same, and we'll be away in Cyprus and then Netherlands in August, so is likely to be December at the earliest. But always good to start planning and dreaming in advance. 😁

Best time to go.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday
