Hello #hive lovers and #travel bloggers..
Talking about Aceh, apart from the food and hospitality of nature, unique buildings, and the beauty of art. Well, The beach also has become a leading tourism commodity here. There is one beach that I recommend and that is Lhok Buya Beach. Located in Aceh Jaya Regency, Setia Bakti, Lhok Buya, Krueng Sabee, you will find this beach. It would be appropriate if the beach was visited in order to swim and play in the seawater, either alone or with family members. In spite of this, this beach is the most popular attraction because sunsets are one of the main reasons people come here.
Lhok Buya Beach has a long coastline. One of the photos in this post shows a person riding a motorcycle freely along the beach. This is proof that the coastline is very large. My estimate is about a thousand meters along the shoreline. The waves on this beach are not too strong, because even though this beach faces the open ocean, the barrier of Keluang Island there slightly dampens the waves here.
Visitors who come to the beach usually swim and enjoy the waves, but the interest of people visiting this place is very low since there are no public facilities such as gazebos to rest in, bathrooms where they can clean themselves after bathing, and food vendors to quench their hunger and thirst while here. This can actually be overcome by establishing this beach as one of the tourist attractions. This will become the basis for the determination of the local government to budget the cost of maintenance and provision of facilities.
Chasing the late ones?
As I said above, most people come to this place to capture sunset moments. Including myself. As it turned out, I had planned since morning to come here for the sunset. I saw that the weather was very favorable and there were not too many clouds. My guess is that there will be nothing blocking the sunset for me to capture. But my plans fell apart because I kept procrastinating, so it was only at 6:30 PM that I got ready to come to this place.
As a result, if I thought I was lucky at first, I was wrong. I had no luck capturing those sunset moments. I was only able to capture a little bit of it because the small island in the middle of the sea had blocked the sun and I could only see the remnants of light from the sunset. This is what I mean by "CHASING THE LATE".
Arriving at this place, it started to rain. Despite the light rain, capturing some of the sunset moments would be challenging due to the weather. The Canon D800 camera that I brought was a standard camera with a standard lens. Some zooms are very visible because my goal is to bring the sunset object closer. Yes, I did my best to maximize the results, but they were not optimal, so I lightly used the Photoscape application to improve them.
Lhok Buya Beach was trending in 2019 because many government officials stopped here. This is because next to the highway there is a mangrove forest which is also one of the tourist destinations in Aceh Jaya. More than two thousand mangrove trees were planted in this place. The goal was to resist coastal abrasion as one of the benefits of mangrove forests. However, when the program was successful and created a new ecosystem here, the beach was visited less and less. Therefore, the crowds that once existed are only history in the Google search column.
Lhok Buya Beach is also the closest beach to the city center of Aceh Jaya. The distance from Aceh Jaya is only about 3 KM with a travel time of approximately 10 minutes. However, if you come from Banda Aceh City, it has a distance of about 140 KM with a travel time of approximately 3 hours. If you are from West Aceh the nearest district, then the travel time to this place is only about 1 hour. However, if your goal is to come here just to play on the beach and bathe, then there are many other beaches that are close and you don't have to go here. Different if you come here because you want to see the sunset, then this place is suitable for you photographers.
Seeing the potential of this beach, it seems like the Government should actively promote this place as a destination for sunset editors. From the structure, the beach is sloping, the sand also looks brighter. Therefore, it is the choice of many people to be the background for taking photos during the day. Meanwhile, if you are hunting sunset then this beach will be the most suitable place to capture the sunset and learn silhouettes.
It was getting late, and the sun had disappeared, leaving behind a golden glow and a shimmering reflection in the far corner. This is a sign that the sky will soon change its color. The black clouds are beginning to be penetrated by yellowish and golden colors, which will make the sky beautifully colored.
The color of the sky at Lhok Buya Beach began to turn red as if blushing to welcome the dark night. I began to capture it with my simple camera, recording all the moments that I could capture. The beauty of nature is immeasurable. Who would have thought that the beach atmosphere that was previously hot would be transformed into a somber and soothing atmosphere? Capturing every beautiful color of the sky and the remnants of the sunset brought me deep pleasure. And I started to leave this beach because one of the rules that apply here is to go home when the call to prayer has reverberated.
Goodbye Lhok Buya Beach, I will come back here and I will try to promise myself that I will not delay my departure. I will do this. This is because the destination has been clear from the start. It was a big loss for me not to be able to interact further with the sunset. I'll come back later and promise not to "chase the late". Thank you.
