On our last day in Lisbon, we left very early and routinely started with breakfast at Padaria Portuguesa which we loved and will miss.
Afterwards we went to Rua Augusta to take photos at some famous monuments.
No nosso último dia em Lisboa, saímos bem cedo e por rotina começamos com um café da manhã na Padaria Portuguesa que adoramos e sentiremos saudades.
Depois fomos para a Rua Augusta tirar fotos em alguns monumentos famosos.
The big adventure of the day was taking cable car 28 that took us all over the city.
We passed through Bairro Alto and Mirante de Santa Luiza, where we saw a little lady doing a very brave cleaning on the roof. I don't think she would do that! We were very surprised by the lady's courage, it was very risky given her age, doing this without any security.
A grande aventura do dia foi pegar o bondinho 28 que nos levou por toda a cidade.
Passamos pelo Bairro Alto e no Mirante de Santa Luiza, onde vimos uma senhorinha fazendo uma faxina bem corajosa no telhado. Acho que não faria isso! Ficamos bem surpreso com a coragem da senhora, muito arriscado pela idade dela, fazer isso sem segurança alguma.
We passed by the Sé Cathedral to give thanks and the Church of Santo Antônio de Lisboa, known as the "matchmaker saint".
Guess what, my wife was dying to get married. 🤔😂
She is my wife, as we live together, but we haven't made it official yet.
Passamos pela Catedral da Sé para agradecer e pela Igreja de Santo Antônio de Lisboa, conhecido como "santo casamenteiro".
Adivinha, minha Esposa ficou louca para casar. 🤔😂
Ela é minha esposa, pois moramos juntos, mas não oficializamos ainda.
We passed the Santa Justa elevator again and then took a tuk-tuk and found a friend driving one of them.
It was a different way to get to know the city but we couldn't stop anywhere.
Passamos novamente pelo elevador Santa Justa e depois pegamos um tuk-tuk e encontramos um amigo dirigindo um deles.
Foi uma maneira diferente de conhecer a cidade mas não pudemos parar em nenhum lugar.
In the evening we had a romantic dinner in a traditional restaurant with a fado performance.
it was an incredible experience, we drank wine and learned that during the fado performance, the restaurant stops, no one enters or leaves, nothing is served.
The show's slogan said: "Silence, Fado will play".
À noite tivemos um jantar romântico em um restaurante tradicional com uma apresentação de Fado.
Foi uma experiência incrível, tomamos vinho e aprendemos que durante a apresentação do Fado, o restaurante para, ninguém entra ou sai, nada é servido.
O slogan do show dizia: "Silêncio, o Fado vai tocar".
We ended our trip in Lisbon with many special memories.
We knew it was time to leave but Lisbon will always have a special place in our hearts.
