Greetings everyone, today I will take you to some place here in Manticao the Province of Misamis Oriental. This town contains lots of beautiful beaches, long rivers, mountains and plain areas. Zone 14 also contains this wonderful sceneries in fact there are lots of people who loves to visit here and doing some fun splashing to the sea water. The beach I went during my travel adventure was an abandoned beach, the reason why it is totally abandoned its because of the Nature problems like soil erosions. The waves was keep destroying the dry land and some of the coconut trees here are already falled down and submerged to the sea water.

Zone 14 is located at near Manticao Public Plaza. From the Plaza, it needs to walk a few meters away and it takes almost an hour before reaching the place. It is also quite far from National road and it needs to pass few Zones before reaching the place. This abandoned beach resort is near at the Church and other establishments like Police stations, Municipal hall, Gymnasium and eateries.

One of the most attractive place here at the Zone is the small lake near at the sea. This is not a man-made lake and it only fills with water everytime when there is a high tide or heavy rains. As a center of attraction, the owner of the beach the when it is not still abandoned was decided to build a floating cottage here. The structure floating at the middle of the lake is made of light materials, like bamboos, round lumber and knetted coconut leaves as rooftops. To make it float, they also installed lots of empty barrels and the floors are made bamboo pieces. This structure has been built many years already and still it can used in fact there are lots of residents went here to do fishing.

This place also contains lots of coconut trees, this was once a wide areas were hundreds of trees can be seen. But as many years has past, and the climate still changes tge waves rises resulting some parts of the dry land collapsed and eroded. Until now, the dry land still eroded and lots of coconut trees are already at the water. But even if that is a kind of Natural Phenomenon, still it is a perfect areas specially by doing camping activities. It is facing to the sea and we can really see the great views of the beach including those neighboring places in Manticao like Ozamiz, Naawan, Punta Silum and Iligan City.

Bermuda grass also addens the beauty of the place and some Bamboo fences built near at the lake. There are lots of people doing camping activities here in this plain areas and spend a night together with their Families and Friends. Now, there are only few coconut trees left standing and few trees grows at the abandoned beach. This bamboo fence helps to keep those children near from the Small lake and helps for those who visited of not getting fall down to the water.

These are some of the coconut trees can be seen at the sea water, and some of it are already sunk. The owner tried the best to prevent this Problem like putting those cutted coconut trunk near at the sea water but is still eroded. This posts of coconut stems was once a cliff at the dry land but now it is completely filled with water and sands.

Some of the beach resorts did an action to avoid eroding the place. The built this strong and solid cocnrete walls at the cliff while the sea was still not reaching the dry land. This is a good way to prevent those kind of Problem and the dry land still intact and not be eroded. Thank you for stopping by and reading my post, have a nice day everyone.
