Manticao river is located at the mountainous places of Manticao in the Province of Misamis Oriental. This river connects lots of places and Zones from upper places of Manticao going to Barangay Poblacion. It takes a few minutes of walking adventure before reaching places. Road trails just for people can be seen here and some of the place is quitely hard to pass by because of slippery road.
This are only some of the big rocks can be seen and found here in Manticao river. This big rocks travels and flashed away from mountainous places and hills and it indicates about it because of its line marks on the surface of the stones. This big stones has been stucked up many years already here and different kinds of fresh water animals living and hiding underneath of this big stones just like shrimps, crabs and small fishes. In terms of laundry or washing clothes, this place is very perfect spots to do the job. Residents placed their clothes on the top of this big stones and seating while washing their clothes. Bathing is also a perfect area to refreshing ourselves because it contains a cool and relaxing fresh water.
Both side of the river contains of lots of different kinds of Native and hardwood trees just like Mahogany, Molave and even Narra trees. Most of the trees here grows near at the river and it holds the soil so it wont collapse during rainy season. Most of the mountains and hills here compost of silica rocks in fact some of the rocks are already shown at the surfaces because of losing the soil during the Great flood. Because it contains lots of trees, many kinds of wild animals like birds and wild cats living and hiding in this areas. Aside of that, wild plants also grows at the place.
During Summer season, many people who came from far places loves to went here because of the cool and relaxing place. Some parts of the river contains a shallow places and aside of that, a perfect place for camping trips. Manticao river is quitely far from urbanized places were lots of houses and commercial establishments can be found. In terms of agricultural activities, this river have a great contributions just like Water irrigations and livestocks. Most of the Garden owner fetched lots of water here for their vegetables, crops and animals.
Manticao river has its own Natural and Great overviews. In fact, there are lots of photographers went here just to take lots of fascinating pictures of the views and some landscapes in here. Truly we can relax ourselves here because of the peaceful and quite placed and it is far from any pollutions and we can enhale and feel the coolnes and freshness of the place. Different colors of rocks including its forms, shapes and sizes can also be seen and found here. Here in Manticao, Misamis Oriental this river is one of the perfect spots for travel activities and fit for those people who loves Nature travel adventure.
