It's been 76 years. 76 years of injustice to the Kashmiris. 76 years of baseless fighting of two nations, Pakistan and India. In these 76 years hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris have died without a reason.
Kashmiris are those unfortunate people who're blessed to have a land recognized by 'heaven on earth' by the whole world, yet they have to witness their family's and friends' blood being shed everyday. Pakistan has been advocating for an autonomous elections for the state of Kashmir. The Kashmiris can decide their own fate, ie, whether they want to be a free state or join hands with Pakistan or India. India on the other hand has not been agreeing to this and to this day, there's a war over this state. Keeping in mind the condition of Kashmiris since these past 7 decades I am hundred percent sure they just want freedom. A country by the name of Kashmir. And honestly I advocate for this as well.
Due to this political instability a lot of people are unable to visit this literal heaven on Earth. But don't worry, I have you all covered as in this post, I'll be showcasing you all the majestic village that lies exactly at the border of Pakistan and India and that village goes by the name of:
ARANG KEL
Tucked away in the core of Kashmir is a precious treasure called Arang Kel, an enchanting location that attracts adventurers with its otherworldly allure and mesmerizing views. Recently, my friends and I set off on an extraordinary trip to this unspoiled haven, and what we encountered exceeded all our expectations. It is located in the Neelam valley at an height of 9,000 ft.
It's not an easy task to reach this far off valley and the only way to do is to travel through a lift chair that takes you from one mountain to the other, from where you have to trek for an hour in order to reach the heart of this valley.
Reaching this valley was a difficult task but once I ventured deep within the valley, I encountered God's finest creations. The rural lifestyle with an amalgamation of the enchanting landscapes made my jaw drop.
It was early morning when we reached this valley, yet the temperature was extremely pleasant. The waterfalls falling from the peak of the mountains gushing in front of me as if trying to whisper the secrets of this world. The meadows were a cherry on the top with small rivers flowing between them.
THE LIFE THERE
Beyond its beautiful scenery, one cannot ignore the lifestyle and the people of Arang Kel while writing about this place. This place is the perfect embodiment of the Kashmiri culture. It was such heart warming for me to see how the locals there welcomed. There was a school there which I saw from a distance. It was an open air school where atleast 60-70 kids were studying under the bright sun.
Everything about that place was perfect. The people, the meadows, the rivers, the horses, the birds, it was as if we were literally walking inside heaven.
Lying here on my bed while writing thus post and reminiscing about the time I just spent doing absolutely nothing in this valley is bringing tears to my eyes. To all my readers, if you for once in your life get an oppurtunity to visit Pakistan, YOU MUST visit Kashmir. I promise to try my best to be with you on this tour. I will accompany you to this place and will be your guide as well but you have to visit this place.
With this I would like to end my article. I hope you all had a good read. Oh and also EID MUBARAKKK.
