Hello friends.
Today I am back with a new, remarkable place in my city.
Welcome to Minh Dang Quang Institute - Buddhist Church of Vietnam. This place is also known as the ancient temple in the heart of Saigon. And is the temple that sets 4 records for Vietnam.
The first record and also my first impression of this temple is:
There are 4 biggest stupas I have ever seen. I have visited a lot of temples in Vietnam but each temple will have 1 or 2 stupas, and each temple will have 1 tallest stupa to highlight, but with this temple, there are 4 towers. The stupa is as tall and has 4 different functions.
The temple really has a very large area, from the main hall to the surrounding halls, all are elaborately designed and built, and beautifully sculpted. I came here with my girlfriend and she was overwhelmed by the magnificence of the temple. We went from the main gate to be able to fully admire the magnificence of this temple. The main hall was built on high, and we had a hard time getting there. It's true that Buddha is above, to meet the Buddha must be sincere. Above the main hall looking down is a large city, with skyscrapers, crowded urban areas. In contrast to that bustling atmosphere, the atmosphere in the temple is quiet and peaceful. There are many people who come here to worship Buddha to pray for peace for their families, and there are philanthropists who come here to distribute rice to the poor. It can be seen that the temple attracts a lot of Buddhist followers here.
Talking more about the architecture, the main hall is surrounded by potted plants and pots made in the shape of a turtle, quite unique. At the bottom of the stairs there are dragons surrounded by flowers, looking very eye-catching and impressive.
Looking at the main hall, there is a large gilded Buddha image, I asked my friend if the statue is real gold? because it is shielded in a large glass box. The monks here are also very gentle and courteous.
My friend and I came here on a sunny afternoon but our hearts were peaceful and strangely cool. There are flocks of pigeons flying and dancing, the statues seem to laugh, so peaceful.
I hope that with the above information, you will also see the magnificent and ancient beauty of this great temple.
Nice to be here with you guys.
