Hello everyone
How are you today ? I hope and pray that we are all always given health and happiness in living this life. I am very happy, finally given the time and opportunity to participate again in this community.
Some time ago, I went on a short trip and vacation to Vietnam with my wife. To be honest, I don't have a plan for where to go. I just provide the money and pay, then my wife arranges everything. We visited several cities such as Saigon and Da Lat. I also visited various interesting places and that gave me valuable experiences to remember in my life. I spent several days in Saigon, and one place that really made me remember was when I visited Ho Chi Minh City Book Street.
Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street
Initially, I visited Saigon Central Post Coffee. After being satisfied with seeing and visiting the old and legendary post office. Our next plan was to visit the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica which is located in front of the post office. Unfortunately, we were unlucky because at that time there was a total renovation going on at the cathedral church so we couldn't go in there.
Then, my wife invited me to go through a street that looked very busy with tourists and visitors, in fact it was Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street which is one of the legendary streets in Saigon or Ho Chi Minh City. One of the things that made us interested in looking there was because the area and area were very instagrammable and beautiful to look at.
From the information I got and read around this area, it turns out that the road that used to be Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street area is one of the oldest roads in Saigon since the era of French colonialism. As you know, almost all countries in Southeast Asia experienced colonialism in the past.
At the front of this road, we will see a gate with a unique ornament in the middle. There is a feeling that is difficult to explain when entering this road area. I felt like I was on a spiritual journey because I was surrounded by dozens of bookstores.
I visited this place in the morning, there were many local people and also foreign tourists who visited this place. The view of this road is very artistic and almost all corners of this road can be used as a place to take photos. There are a lot of people taking photos, as you know. Photos with a book background or a pose reading a book look very cool and also give the impression of being educated.
From my observations, almost all the books on Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street are in Vietnamese. I myself barely understand or understand, but I have read several children's books in English. Apart from books, there are also various handicrafts, postcards, photographs and other unique ornaments.
In the middle of this road, I also saw several works of art on display which attracted the attention of visitors who came. I also saw that there were several books displayed in special display cases, apparently special and historical books which also caught my attention.
Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street is a street that is not too long to walk. Apart from bookstores, I also saw that there were several coffee shops where we could stop by to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. One thing that is important to me, Ho Chi Minh City's Book Street can be a relaxing and quiet place to enjoy a busy day.
Call me Isdarmady, because I have a full name that is very long, namely Isdarmady Syahputra Ritonga. I am a head of the family who work as Farmers Vegetables Hydroponic and Consultant Hydroponics, sometimes I also sell coffee from various regions in Indonesia.
I have expertise dispensing coffee with a variety of techniques and tools brewing, because I have the desire to make a coffee shop with hydroponics as centerpieces. Help me realize that dream.
