4 Beautiful Waterfalls to Visit in Bali

Bali is an island with countless waterfalls. Its location close to the equator and tropical rainfall (especially during winter) make it easy for water to flow anywhere and at all times. And it results in some stunning landscapes sculpted by the force of water that you can easily watch at one of the many waterfalls. Here are my favorite 4.

1. Leke Leke Waterfall

Leke Leke Waterfall is located in central Bali and belongs to the more popular locations. Still, there weren’t too many people. It takes between 15 to 30 minutes to get to the waterfall from the parking, but it’s not that bad, and I think even children will manage without any problem.

The waterfall itself is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and creating a half-cave in the black rock. As the waterfall is really strong, I don’t recommend swimming under.

2. Tukad Cepung

Absolutely stunning and Instagram-famous, Tukad Cepung is certainly among Bali’s favorites. Its close proximity to Ubud also helps, but it still didn’t feel crowded when I visited. We had to wait for a little to take THAT famous picture, but otherwise, it was fine people-wise. There is another waterfall in the valley, so you get two for the price of one.

You can try to swim, but there is not enough water to swim comfortably; it’s more like getting wet and enjoying it. To top it up, you can get something to eat or drink on your way up: there are multiple restaurants with beautiful terraces to sit on and enjoy the view and sounds of the jungle.

3. Gembleng Waterfall

Another one of the waterfalls getting popular online recently. Gembleng is located in the east of the island, in the Sidemen area. It’s famous for the small natural pools it creates, and you can swim in them with a beautiful view of the surrounding forests and the whole area. The entrance fee here is based on donations; a good amount would be 20K Rupiah.

The steps you must take to get to the waterfall seem endless and quite daunting, but it’s worth every step you take. It’s better to come in the morning as there are few people. Soon, there will also be a restaurant with a beautiful terrace and it will be amazing.

4. Munduk Waterfall

Last but not least, a beautiful waterfall located deep in the mountains in Northern Bali. There were almost no people, and we met an amazing elder lady selling spices on the way to the waterfall. The waterfall itself is very strong, so I don’t recommend swimming right under it, but you can totally dip your feet in the refreshing water.

So which one of these waterfalls would you like to visit the most? Let me know!

I really like the view here! The clear blue sky and green hills that surround this area are so mesmerizing.

thank you! Yes, the landscapes in Bali are amazing and the lush greenery everywhere you go is very therapeutic.

Even though I live in Indonesia, I have never visited Bali, I hope one day I can go there.

@itsmikyhere Which ones do I want to visit? all of them!!! they are spectacular!!! how amazing the pictures, are they all in the same area?

haha, thank you! Unfortunately, they are not close to each other, but these are just four of many, many more that are worth visiting! So you can totally visit more within the same area :)
