For Christians, Holy Week holds great significance as it commemorates the final days of Jesus' life, and many religious rituals and practices are observed during this time. In the Philippines, we also hold this week in high regard and cherish the opportunity it presents to spend time with our families, thanks to the extended holiday it offers. This break allows us to unwind from the stress of work, studies, and other daily obligations.
Following Good Friday, our family took a trip to La Union in the Ilocos Region to unwind and enjoy the summer season in the Philippines. After a five-hour journey, we finally arrived at our destination, eager to spend quality time together. With the warm weather, a beach outing was the perfect way to bask in the sun and make the most of our family bonding time.
Our initial stop was in Luna, La Union, where we visited a site known as Bahay Na Bato.
Bahay Na Bato is a stunning location distinguished by its abundant use of stones, which lends it a one-of-a-kind character.
In addition to its aesthetic allure, Bahay Na Bato houses a museum that contains a plethora of well-preserved antique artifacts. Regrettably, I forgot to take pictures of them, but I did manage to snap some photos of the paintings. I'll strive to do better and capture more for my next travel blog.
Before departing from Bahay Na Bato, I couldn't resist taking a photo against a stunning backdrop. This marks my first time writing about this particular topic, and I hope you enjoyed reading it. Thank you for taking the time to peruse my blog, and I promise to strive for even better content in the future. Wishing you all the best, and see you soon! See Yah!
