Hello fellow adventurers, about 8 years ago I had a trip planned to Europe, I was going to visit some snowy countries. Due to the ironies of fate, I had to cancel the flight and changed my travel itinerary to South Africa. What was discouraging at the time ended up becoming a moment of excitement, tension and joy.
The country is incredible, it has incredible cultural diversity, but the highlight of the trip was a safari for MADIKWE GAME RESERVE, being able to see wild animals in detail less than 5 meters away is something surreal, your body feels the pressure of the moment, we experience fear in the face of the predatory instinct of some wild animals. People say it is something calm, on the contrary, you see in the eyes of the lions the desire to cross the cages and taste every inch of your person. A group of lions that accompanied us for much of the trip must have imagined an opportunity to attack, something that fortunately did not happen. One thing I can say is that a lion's roar is deafening. I can understand why animals run away in movies when they hear it.
Giraffes and elephants are incredible. We observed every detail of their bodies, their wrinkles are cool. They are the kind of animals that seem domestic, have calm attitudes and show contempt for visitors. It's as if no one were watching them. "My cats do that." They know the magnitude of their strength and power. The mere presence of humans does not activate their sense of survival in the face of fear. Imagine that in their minds, we are inferior animals. I wonder if this thinking is really not correct.
Hyenas are more reserved. Although they walk in groups, they avoided direct contact with our group. We set up camp in the middle of nowhere. Everywhere we looked, there was not a living soul other than us and lots and lots of sand. The noises cause a certain tension. In short, fear and very fear. You have to be careful in an unknown world.
The guides are cool, they like to joke around all the time, they try to divert fear or worry with jokes and pranks about animals. Jaguars, rhinos, zebras and animals i can't even name were part of this experience.
It's an incredible trip, a unique moment in the life of any human being, you are able to experience what you watch in movies or behind a computer screen.

Olá companheiros aventureiros, há cerca de 8 anos eu tinha uma viagem planejada para a Europa, eu ia visitar alguns países com neve. Devido às ironias do destino, tive que cancelar o voo e mudei meu roteiro de viagem para a África do Sul. O que era desanimador na época acabou se tornando um momento de excitação, tensão e alegria.
O país é incrível, tem uma diversidade cultural incrível, mas o ponto alto da viagem foi um safári pela RESERVA DE CAÇA MADIKWE, poder ver animais selvagens em detalhes a menos de 5 metros de distância é algo surreal, seu corpo sente a pressão do momento, sentimos medo diante do instinto predatório de alguns animais selvagens. As pessoas dizem que é algo calmo, pelo contrário, você vê nos olhos dos leões a vontade de atravessar as jaulas e saborear cada centímetro da sua pessoa. Um grupo de leões que nos acompanhou durante boa parte da viagem deve ter imaginado uma oportunidade de atacar, algo que felizmente não aconteceu. Uma coisa que posso dizer é que o rugido de um leão é ensurdecedor. Posso entender por que os animais fogem nos filmes quando o ouvem.
Girafas e elefantes são incríveis. Observamos cada detalhe de seus corpos, suas rugas são legais. Eles são o tipo de animais que parecem domésticos, têm atitudes calmas e demonstram desprezo pelos visitantes. É como se ninguém os estivesse observando. "Meus gatos fazem isso." Eles sabem a magnitude de sua força e poder. A mera presença de humanos não ativa seu senso de sobrevivência diante do medo. Imagine que, em suas mentes, somos animais inferiores. Eu me pergunto se esse pensamento realmente não está correto.
Hienas são mais reservadas. Embora andem em grupos, evitam contato direto com nosso grupo. Montamos acampamento no meio do nada. Para onde quer que olhássemos, não havia uma alma viva além de nós e muita, muita areia. Os ruídos causam uma certa tensão. Em suma, medo e muito medo. Você tem que ter cuidado em um mundo desconhecido.
Os guias são legais, eles gostam de brincar o tempo todo, tentam desviar o medo ou a preocupação com piadas e pegadinhas sobre animais. Onças, rinocerontes, zebras e animais que nem sei o nome fizeram parte dessa experiência.
É uma viagem incrível, um momento único na vida de qualquer ser humano, você consegue vivenciar o que assiste em filmes ou atrás de uma tela de computador.
