JPark's Ocean View Room Has No Smart TV!

It was in May when my husband's company had a summer outing at this 5 Star hotel in Mactan, Cebu. We checked in at the resort to take advantage of the husband's company discount and I blogged about our experience at the resort here:

I realized as I wrote the above articles that I had forgotten to take photos of our room using my Sony camera. All I have were a few photos I snapped when we just arrived at the room using my phone. I regret forgetting to take better photos but let me share our room with you.

Just a context, my husband told me there's a discounted rate offered by their company and I was so interested that I asked him to get a room with an ocean view. I felt like the room rate was way less than the undiscounted one so it was a great deal which we can't refuse. I even asked the husband to request a late check-out which was granted with an additional fee!

We arrived at the resort early, since we have to wait for our room to be ready at 2 PM, we have to kill time in the lobby. We appreciate the neat and very calming ambiance of the lobby. There are so many lounges to choose from.

And that staircase, I planned on taking photos of us there but then, because of our limited time in the resort, we were not able to do all the things that we had planned. It was not a good idea to be checking in at the resort a day before the husband's activity, we could have enjoyed it better if we checked in after the company summer outing and then spend the whole Saturday at the resort.

Anyway, there are things that we can't help but just wished we had better discernment on but all is well. I am still grateful that we had the chance to stay at this beautiful resort!

My little one wasn't able to resist the D.Thrones displayed at the lobby entrance. It was just so enticing I guess for him. I am glad that the staff around just allowed him to ride on it and it was what made us decide to tour around the resort with a D.Throne.

When our room was ready and the bell boys were about to bring our bags up to our room, I had a hard time taking Matti out of the toy car. He cried his heart out because he still wants to ride! It was my husband who took Matti out there and just went right away to the lift but the problem was that the elevator was sitting next to Pororo Park.

Thankfully, Matti was super busy crying that he didn't get to notice Pororo. I had even inquired about the process on how toddlers can play there, we had a reservation but because of certain circumstances, we were not able to go there during our specified time on our second day. It's just hard to have a toddler!

We were given a card key, our room was located in Building B on the 10th floor. We specifically asked for an oceanview, this means it has a slight difference in pricing compared to those who didn't request any specific room.

As I opened our room's door, what greeted me was the two beds. I thought we would be sleeping together but I guess I was wrong. I really thought we will get a queen-sized bed. Still, it was fine.

The comfort room and shower were on the left side, the right has a space where we can put our slippers, and there's also a digital weighing scale there!

I ran straight to the balcony to see the view from our room. It was indeed amazing! We have a clear view of the beach and the neighboring shorelines. I can also see the whole resort, the pool, and the rest of the waterpark!

We surely loved the view from here and I am glad that we requested the ocean view. I went back inside the room to continue with my personal tour. I headed to the comfort room right away. It was neat and it got a huge bathtub too!

Towels were provided, and vanity kits and shower items like soap and shampoo were provided too! The bowl was also great and a lot of toilet tissue paper was provided! Blower was also available!

My baby found the telephone and would not want to stop dialing it. I was really concerned he might call the extensions available. Thankfully, he got over it.

Slippers were given, on this shelf was a section for our bags and for hanging clothes. Next to that is another section with the free items available for consumption such as water bottles, coffee, and tea. A heater was also there.

The television, however, was an old model and it was not a smart tv so we actually just open it for the sake of using it. We couldn't connect our smartphones so we could play YouTube. This actually saddened me because we love to watch on big screens!

I have to state as well that the room smelled a little bad, it was like the smell of a room which was never been used for months! Thankfully, the beds were both comfortable! I love hotel beds because they are really neat and super comfy to sleep on!

There's a working table too which was perfect because we brought with us our laptops! There's free internet connection too in the lobby and the rooms. The connection was fast, thank God, we ended up watching from the laptop.

Perhaps my favorite part of the room really was the balcony! The next day, we witnessed a very beautiful sunrise and it was also a spot where we just enjoyed the night view of the resort. I still can't get over the fact that I missed taking photos of it using my Sony camera!

Thank you for reading!
