The Virgin of Regla, venerated in several countries such as the Dominican Republic, Spain and Cuba, is a "Marian ode" of Catholicism, that is, a veneration of mysteries, apparitions, presences, gifts or attributes of the supreme Virgin Mary or circumstances historical or geographical conditions that surround the devotion of a specific image. The Catholic Church, as you know, admits numerous invocations that allege the figure of the mother of Jesus, or some of her qualities, which are worshiped in various ways. Not in all cultures religious syncretism is the same with this virgin. Here in Cuba, for example, the syncretism with the Yoruba religion makes it similar to Yemayá, mother of the seas, among many other faculties that were granted to her.
La Virgen de Regla, venerada en varios países como República Dominicana, España y Cuba, es una "oda Mariana" del catolicismo, o sea, una veneración a misterios, apariciones, presencias, dones o atributos de la suprema Virgen María o bien a circunstancias históricas o geográficas que rodean a la devoción de una imagen determinada.
