Florence is a tourist destination that many people know about. Many tourists are interested in this place. And today I am the same. This trip we stayed here for two nights. Due to traveling a lot, we arrived in the afternoon after having lunch. On the first day, we chose to go to Santa Maria del Fiore
Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore It is the saddle of the Archbishop of Florence. In the city of Florence The cathedral is built in the Italian Gothic architecture style. Its distinctive feature is the pointed arch. Sloping ceiling The dome shape resembles a hen's egg and sits on an octagonal plan. It was designed to be two floors. There is a ring of stone and wood holding the frame of the dome between the two shells.
- On the first day the weather was quite good and the sky was clear. We chose to visit this dome. To enter, you must show the ticket that you previously reserved. But each visit will limit of people to go inside because it won't be too crowded. Sometimes there are a lot of people queuing up, I was lucky and didn't have to queue for a long time. Once inside, we scanned our phone cards again. Once you enter, there will be a small, narrow staircase that you can follow along the way up.
- Went up, not sure which floor, but saw a statue surrounded by a cage. I'm not sure who can get within close range. I could only stand there and watch and take pictures from the side. and had to continue walking up the narrow and steep stairs Walking up was tiring because of the width of the stairs and the steepness. There is very little ventilation. Plus, if people follow us, if we stop they will slow down. Along the way, there are staff available to guide you along the path and check for neatness. Luckily, I carry an inhaler to help freshen my breathing when I'm tired, so I picked it up and smelled it at that time lol.
- When we reach a point inside where I can see below from a certain height, I can see the people in the area. It's small but still beautiful when I look down. The path will circle for you to walk continuously. And when you look above, you will see murals on the upper wall that tell various stories through those paintings. It looks really stunning and beautiful.
- The pictures taken are from each angle of the painting because the walkway is similar to a circle that continues until the end to see the view from the top of the dome. The way up to the last point was also quite challenging as it was both steep and had open stairs that allowed you to see a gap to the bottom. But it is the last point of the dome above. Once you've arrived, you have to go to the end.
- When I get out of the stairs, I must say wowwww!!. The view above is very beautiful. Can see views of the city with various buildings. Behind is a mountain and I look from up here, it looks very small. The weather is quite good and I can take photos from many angles. It's worth walking up the many steps to get a better view of this landmark.
After taking photos and admiring the view until we were satisfied, we headed back. The stairs are on the other side except for the last one because it is very narrow and difficult to walk in opposite directions. This photos I was taken from the other side of the building, giving a view of the dome. And this is another day trip to this place. There are still many buildings that have pictures and stories to share with everyone in the next post. Hope everyone likes it. Thank you for following me. Have a good day!!
