How are you all friends, I hope you are all well and healthy. I am also fine and healthy. Once again going to share a beautiful travel experience with you. This blog will be a heartwarming episode for those who love to travel. There are some travel destinations where there is so much to learn. There are many historical places where knowledge is gained through travel. Then travel means some new food and drink. Today I am going to present in this blog some information about such a place and travel to that place. The place is located in the north-east of Bangladesh. Hope everyone will be with me.
Teesta Barrage
Teesta Barrage (Teesta Barrage) or Teesta Irrigation Project is the largest irrigation project in Bangladesh. On one side of the Teesta Barrage is Doani village of Goddimari union under Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat district and on the other side is Dalia of Khalisa Chapani union under Dimla upazila of Nilphamari district. In 1937, the then government took a plan to build the Teesta Barrage to provide irrigation facilities to the uncultivated lands of Rangpur, Dinajpur, Nilphamari and Bogra districts. Later, in 1979, the construction of the 615 m long barrage with 44 radial gates was started, which was completed in 1990.
The banks of the Teesta around the Teesta Barrage are beautifully decorated. There are several picnic spots in the surrounding area. People come here from far and wide for picnic. Teesta is quite full and dry during monsoon. The canal is also worth seeing. Many people come to visit in the afternoon. The pitch black road next to the barrage is covered with flowers on both sides. It is a wonderful scene. Walking along the winding narrow path, it seems that this path will never end. All in all it is a place to visit.
All of us friends plan to go on a trip to Teesta Berej full of that natural beauty. Then we take leave from office and fix a day to go on the trip. Then we all board the train early in the morning and go to Chilahati. From Chilahati, we hired an autorickshaw and went directly to Teesta Berez. After getting close to Berez, we all had breakfast. After that we started touring.
First, some of us climbed on top of the barrage on the Teesta river. Climbed on top of the barrage and looked around. Then we started taking pictures. After walking around for some time, we came down from the Teesta barrage.
I went down the Tista barrage and saw the beautiful scenery along the river and took pictures. Then I rode the boat around the river. This is how everyone enjoyed the trip. I wanted to take a bath when I saw the water in the river. But I didn't take a bath because my body was a little sick. At some point we get tired.
Everyone was tired and passed by Tistaberez on the banks of Teesta river and sat at a food stall to eat something. Everyone eats fish from the river and has a lot of fun. After eating and drinking, rest for a while. After that everyone said goodbye to Tistaberez and left. These were some of the highlights of the Teesta Berez trip. We enjoyed it a lot.
