Hello there,
It was evening, I was out in Dhaka and was thinking of where to visit as I got some free hours. The first and foremost thing to consider while traveling in Dhaka is the traffic and as I was short in time so the better shot was Gulshan for me. Even the local bus that I boarded for Gulshan has AC in them, haha. The fragrance of their poshness started from here and I got to a central point within a few moments. No, there is no historical place to highlight or talk about. All I explored is an organized society that has been made for a selected elite class of the city, yeah, you heard me right. From the roads to malls, parks to houses, each and everything has a touch of luxury and precise planning.
Gulshan-2
This is Gulshan 2, the night scene of one of the most posh areas in Bangladesh. Here in Bangladesh, in Dhaka, when you are roaming around the Puran Dhaka areas, you will see a glimpse of densely populated images of Bangladesh, poverty, struggle, and hardships. But here in this part of Dhaka, particularly in Gulshan you will see the lavish lifestyles, luxury, and the riches and showcasing them to their fullest. In short, one of the most expensive areas in Bangladesh.
Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed Park
Look at this crowd of people, hanging out with their near and dear ones to spend some quality time amidst nature. Instead of 25, Dhaka got only around 7-12% of greenery. So a park like this is a blessing.
Look at this lake, situated in the middle of the park. It adds immense value to the park's attraction. Also, see the basketball field where the boys are playing. There were a few kid's zones and small restaurants as well. In Dhaka, playgrounds like this are very rare. Just a handful of few places are reserved for sports activities which is very scarce.
Walkways that circle around the lake, people walk, sit in the sitting places, gossip, and do different activities like book reading, photoshoots, playing, and so on.
BOOKWORM
This is the most amazing corner in that area or part. Bookworm, where you can dive into the books among nature. Hell yeah, look at this place. There is such amazing architecture, and it makes it appealing to the readers. You have a place for prayers as well. The collection might not be huge but enough to serve you for a pleasant moment. Click on the images and watch them, please.
Gulshan Society Jame Masjid
When it was time for prayers, I walked into the Gulshan Society Jame Mosque. Look at this, so beautiful. The inside and management were amazing as well. It was so good to be there, unfortunately, I can't afford to live in those areas.
So yeah, this is it, a short tour in Gulshan. Got to explore the park and the idea of BOOKWORM was the best one for me and is the reason for making this post, I really loved that corner.
