On this occasion, I would like to share my experience about my trip to an island which at every change of calendar keeps imagining in my mind to return to that tourist spot, namely Iboih Island. Iboih Island is located on Weh Island, Sabang. This island can enchant tourists with its blue sea.
the first step to be able to enjoy Iboih Island tourism is to cross first from Ulee Lheu Harbor to Balohan Harbor, Sabang. For those of you who are seasick, I advise you to take a crossing ticket in the morning. In the morning, your body is still fresh. The second step is to take anti-vomiting drugs.
You don't have to be afraid of starvation while on the ferry. Inside the ship, there is a canteen too. However, the price of goods are more expensive than usual. If I'm not mistaken, the price of one bottle of Lasegar water is IDR. 10,000. I'm not sitting in the passenger seat. I sat on the left side of the boat with my family. The ship moved leisurely.
What made you interested in visiting this place?
Every tourist spot has a magnet that can attract tourists to visit it. Besides having beautiful beach charm, Iboih Island has beautiful underwater tourism park. In this island area, all flora and fauna are protected by the government and the tourism ministry. Not the entire island. There are territorial boundaries that fishermen cannot cross to catch or fish.
The underwater tour looks very beautiful. But I only can capture a few photos. I'm not very good at swimming. And I can't bear to dive for more than 25 seconds. In the underwater park, there is the writing I Love Sabang there. Many divers immortalize their photos in their writing. There are also automatic motorbikes and antique motorbikes like old Vespa there.

Indonesia is known as a country that is very friendly to tourists. Both for local and foreign tourists. This hospitality is also found on the westernmost island in Indonesia. The locals are very polite, and friendly and welcome newcomers. There are no differences in race, ethnicity, nation, and religion. Tolerance is very high there.
If there is a chance, I want to revisit Iboih Island at the end of the year. I want to share my sustenance with the fish with an even bigger portion. The fish are very happy if given food. They will approach and surround us. Several times I was surprised by fish bites. It doesn't hurt, but it tickles.
The image of the island of Iboih is fading from my memory day by day. And of course more beautiful than when I was on vacation two years ago. Looking at the beautiful photos posted on the island's social media. Honestly, I wanted to go back and stay there for two nights. Very comfortable accommodation. Quiet, comfortable, and peaceful. The sound of the waves crashing against the rocks broke the silence for a few seconds.
Tips or suggestions for others who want to visit the place!
I don't know how deep the Iboih Island tourist park is. The water is very clear. All kinds of fish are visible. There is one parasitic animal there that is very dangerous, namely sea urchins. It is black, It fur sticks straight and pointy. It's like a soft Ganga. But when we touch it, it hardens and breaks in our flesh.
And it felt really bad. It can be treated quickly by pouring vinegar water right on the affected part of the sea urchin. And a few moments later, it will recover by itself. I advise you to wear duck feet or other gaiters to avoid getting sea urchins when walking in water.
The price of food there is quite high. I advise you to bring your lunch and fish food there. Instant noodles (POP MIE) costs IDR. 5,000, there are sold for IDR. 10,000. Fish food from instant noodles without seasoning per plastic costs IDR. 5,000. Basically, the noodles only cost IDR. 1,000 (at that time).
And the advice above applies to those of us who have a mediocre budget. The advice above is not for those who have more money. Because that is the source of life for the locals.
