Hello dear travelers! Yesterday we went to the furthest point of the Gelibolu Peninsula and we wanted to share with you the monument we saw here. As you can see on the map, the point we reached is the endest of the Gelibolu Peninsula, and we never expected to be greeted by such a view here. Honestly, we were looking for a nice beach to swim, and suddenly we found ourselves here and wanted to share this beautiful scene with you. This area appears when you go in the direction of Anafartalar after Eceabat, and a little behind here, there's an amazing cove called Büyük Kemikli. This used to be a lesser-known cove, but over time, thanks to the power of social media, people started discovering it, and unfortunately, its former cleanliness and beauty are no longer preserved.
Looking at our location on the map, I truly feel quite peculiar. Finishing the entire Gelibolu Peninsula and coming here, encountering such a magnificent monument, is an interesting feeling. I will inform you about the history of this monument and what it signifies. If you're ready, let's start!

We started to follow the brown signs and as I said, our aim was to find a nice beach for swimming, so we continued to the right because we knew that the sea on the Kabatepe side was beautiful.
While we were continuing to our journey, we came to a fork in the road and we continued straight here because we wanted to go to Kabatepe, navigation showed that we should continue straight. I thought maybe we could see the 57th Regiment Martyrdom on the way, but unfortunately the road diverges here, I hope we will visit this place another time.
The place where the car you see in the photo turns is the junction that turns to Kabatepe private beach here is too crowded beach that's why we don't prefer here that's why we did not turn through this junction and continued straight, also there is the port where the ferries to Gökçeada are located. it was very nice that we included you in our journey in this way, we have not written a travel story in this concept before, but we liked this one too, we are waiting for your comments if you like it!
As we continued a little further, the road started to get narrower and the color of the trees got darker. We really liked the road here.
On our journey, which we continued by the sea, we came to important lands with monuments on the way. We saw signs here during our journey and these signs were directing us to different monuments and cemeteries.
While we were continuing our journey without deviating anywhere, we saw the sign we wanted and followed the Büyük Kemikli sign.

The meaning of this monument is the Anafartalar Victory Monument located in the Anafartalar region of the Gelibolu Peninsula. This monument was built to commemorate the events and victories that took place during the Gallipoli Campaign of 1915, specifically in the Anafartalar Front, which held significant importance during the Battle of Gallipoli.
On the morning of April 25, 1915, enemy forces landed at Arıburnu, and on the night of August 6-7, they also landed at Anafartalar Cove. After months of bloody battles, they came to realize that the Turkish Defense on the Gallipoli Peninsula could not be overcome. As a result, on December 20, they evacuated these fronts.
This text is featured on the monument to remind of a significant period of the Gallipoli War and the heroic struggle of the Turkish soldiers.

There was no one when we came here, we enjoyed the view, this rock in the middle of the sea caught my attention because it has a flat appearance and is huge in size.
The sea looks so clean that we wanted to go down and swim here, but the descent path was very steep and we thought it might be dangerous. Привіт, шановні мандрівники! Вчора ми вирушили до найвіддаленішої точки півострова Геліболу і хочемо поділитися з вами враженнями від нашої подорожі. Як видно на карті, ми дійшли до кінця півострова Геліболу, і ми ні в якому разі не очікували побачити такий вид тут. Справді кажучи, ми взагалі шукали гарний пляж, і раптом ми опинилися тут і хочемо поділитися цим з вами. Ця місцевість відкривається, коли ви рухаєтеся в напрямку Анафарталар після міста Еджеабат, і подалі за цим місцем є дивовижна затока під назвою Бююккеміклі. Раніше це була менш відома затока, але з часом, завдяки силі соціальних мереж, люди стали її відкривати, і на жаль, її чистота та краса більше не зберігається.
Дивлячись на наше розташування на карті, я по-справжньому відчував себе досить дивно. Продовжуючи нашу подорож без зміни маршруту, ми побачили знак, який ми так довго шукали і пішли за напрямком до Бююккеміклі.
Ми натрапили на цей пам'ятник в кінці дороги до Бююккеміклі і я хотів би поділитися з вами своїми дослідженнями щодо цього пам'ятника;
Значення цього пам'ятника - це Пам'ятник Перемозі в Анафарталах, розташований у регіоні Анафарталар півострова Геліболу. Цей пам'ятник був побудований для вшанування подій та перемог, що відбулися у 1915 року, зокрема на фронті Анафарталар, який мав велике значення під час Битви при Геліболу.
Вранці 25 квітня 1915 року ворожі сили висадились в Арібурну, а вночі з 6 на 7 серпня вони також висадились в затоці Анафарталар. Після місяців кровавих боїв вони зрозуміли, що турецька оборона на півострові Геліболу незламна. В результаті 20 грудня вони евакуювалися.

Море виглядає настільки чистим, що ми хотіли зійти та поплавати тут, але шлях для спуску був дуже крутим, і ми подумали, що це може бути небезпечно. Водночас, якщо добре подивитися, можна помітити, що у морі є каміння, і дуже ймовірно, що тут є морські їжачки. З цієї причини ми тільки насолоджувалися видом з вершини.
