My last day in Benalmádena was a bittersweet one, filled with the beauty of the Mediterranean coast and the sadness of knowing my holiday was coming to an end. I had spent nearly two weeks exploring this stunning part of Spain and I wanted to make the most of every moment I had left. What better way to say goodbye than by revisiting some of the beaches that had made this trip so memorable?

O meu último dia em Benalmádena foi agridoce, repleto da beleza da costa mediterrânea e da tristeza de saber que as minhas férias estavam a chegar ao fim. Passei quase duas semanas a explorar esta parte deslumbrante de Espanha e queria aproveitar ao máximo cada momento que me restava. The day started with the sun shining brightly in a cloudless sky, promising perfect weather for a day by the sea. The temperature was already warm when I woke up, with the promise of a hot day ahead. I had an itinerary in mind, a leisurely walk along the coastline, revisiting some of the most beautiful beaches I had discovered during my stay.

I started my day with a walk along the promenade, the sun warming as I made my way toward my first destination Punta Negra.
The rocky shoreline and crystal-clear waters created a stunning landscape, with the sunlight reflecting off the surface of the water in a dazzling display. The beach was relatively quiet, with only a few early risers enjoying the tranquility of the morning.

After spending some time at Punta Negra, I continued my walk along the coast, heading toward Playa del Arroyo de la Miel y los Melilleros. The walk took me past several charming cafes and shops.

Playa del Arroyo de la Miel y los Melilleros was already bustling with activity by the time I arrived. Families were setting up their beach umbrellas and towels, ready for a day of fun in the sun. I found a spot near the water edge and sat down, letting the warm sand slip through my fingers. The water was inviting, with gentle waves lapping against the shore. I decided to take a quick dip, the coolness of the sea providing a refreshing contrast to the heat of the day.

My next stop was Playa de Bil Bil, a beach that was not only known for its soft sand and clear waters but also for its proximity to the iconic Castillo de Bil Bil. This historic castle, with its distinctive red facade and Moorish-inspired architecture, stood as a striking backdrop to the beach. As I approached, I couldn’t help but admire the way the castle’s deep red walls contrasted with the bright blue of the sky and sea.

A minha paragem seguinte foi a Playa de Bil Bil, uma praia que não só era conhecida pela sua areia macia e águas cristalinas, mas também pela sua proximidade com o icónico Castillo de Bil Bil. I found a spot on the sand and sat down, taking in the view of the castle and the sea beyond. The sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun made it easy to lose track of time. I watched as a few people strolled along the shoreline, their footprints leaving temporary marks in the wet sand before being washed away by the waves.

Eventually, it was time to leave. I gathered my things and took one last look at the beach. The walk back along the promenade was a reflective one, as I thought about all the wonderful experiences I had had during my time in Benalmádena. The beaches, the food, the culture, it had all been more than I could have hoped for.
