There's something magical about starting the day with a walk on the beach. The morning air is crisp and fresh, the sunlight is soft, and the world feels calm and quiet. Today, I decided to take advantage of this tranquil time by heading to Angeiras South Beach, a place that's become my go-to spot whenever I need to relax and clear my mind.

Há algo de mágico em começar o dia com um passeio na praia. O ar da manhã é fresco e fresco, a luz do sol é suave e o mundo parece calmo e tranquilo. Hoje decidi aproveitar este momento tranquilo e rumar até à Praia de Angeiras Sul, local que se tornou o meu local de eleição sempre que preciso de relaxar e desanuviar a mente.
Angeiras South Beach is located just a short 20 minute drive from my home. It's close enough that I can visit often, yet far enough to feel like a mini escape from everyday life. This morning, as I set out, the day already promised to be warm. The sun was rising, casting a golden light over the landscape, and the sky was a brilliant blue, free of clouds. It was the kind of day that made you want to be outside, soaking in every ray of sunshine.

A Praia de Angeiras Sul fica apenas a 20 minutos de carro da minha casa. É perto o suficiente para que eu possa visitá-lo com frequência, mas longe o suficiente para parecer uma mini fuga da vida quotidiana. Esta manhã, ao partir, o dia já prometia ser quente. O sol estava a nascer, lançando uma luz dourada sobre a paisagem, e o céu era de um azul brilhante, sem nuvens. Era o tipo de dia que dava vontade de estar ao ar livre, aproveitando cada raio de sol.
When I arrived at Angeiras, the parking lot was nearly empty-one of the perks of getting there early. I stepped out of the car, took a deep breath, and let the fresh, salty air fill my lungs. There’s nothing quite like the scent of the ocean to wake you up and make you feel alive.

A viagem até à praia foi agradável, como sempre é. O percurso leva-me por uma mistura de paisagens campestres e costeiras, com vislumbres do oceano a espreitar por entre as árvores. Enquanto conduzia, senti a expectativa a aumentar. Há algo de especial em saber que se vai para um lugar onde se pode relaxar e esquecer o stress da vida, mesmo que seja por um bocadinho.
The beach was still quiet, with only a few other early risers scattered along the shore. Some were jogging, others were walking their dogs, and a few were simply sitting on the sand, gazing out at the ocean. I love this time of day because it feels like the beach belongs to those of us who come early, seeking peace and solitude before the crowds arrive.

A praia ainda estava tranquila, com apenas alguns madrugadores espalhados ao longo da costa. Uns corriam, outros passeavam os cães e alguns estavam simplesmente sentados na areia, a olhar para o oceano. Adoro esta altura do dia porque parece que a praia pertence a quem chega cedo, em busca de paz e solidão antes que a multidão chegue.
One of the reasons I love coming to Angeiras South is the variety it offers. On one side, you have the endless expanse of the ocean, with its ever-changing waves and vast horizon. On the other, you have the mountains in the distance, their rugged beauty providing a stunning backdrop. It's a place where I can enjoy the best of both worlds sometimes I hike in the nearby mountains, and other times I walk along the beach, depending on my mood and the weather.

Uma das razões pelas quais adoro vir a Angeiras Sul é a variedade que oferece. Por um lado, tem a extensão infinita do oceano, com as suas ondas em constante mudança e vasto horizonte. Por outro lado, temos as montanhas ao longe, cuja beleza acidentada proporciona um cenário deslumbrante. É um lugar onde posso desfrutar do melhor dos dois mundos, às vezes faço caminhadas nas montanhas próximas e outras vezes caminho pela praia, dependendo do meu estado de espírito e do clima.
Angeiras South is a truly beautiful beach. The sand is soft and golden, stretching out in a wide arc along the shore. The water is a deep blue, reflecting the sky above, and the waves are gentle, creating a soothing sound as they break on the shore.

Angeiras Sul é uma praia verdadeiramente lindíssima. A areia é macia e dourada, estendendo-se num amplo arco ao longo da costa. A água é de um azul profundo, refletindo o céu acima, e as ondas são suaves, criando um som suave quando quebram na costa.
Breathing in the fresh, salty air, I felt a deep sense of peace. There's something about being near the ocean that makes everything else seem less important. The worries and stresses of everyday life fade away, replaced by a sense of calm and contentment. It's as if the ocean has a way of putting everything into perspective, reminding me of the beauty and simplicity of life.

Respirando o ar fresco e salgado, senti uma profunda sensação de paz. Há algo em estar perto do oceano que faz com que tudo o resto pareça menos importante. As preocupações e o stress da vida quotidiana desaparecem, sendo substituídos por uma sensação de calma e contentamento. É como se o oceano conseguisse colocar tudo em perspetiva, lembrando-me a beleza e a simplicidade da vida.
I've always believed that nature has a way of healing us, of helping us to find clarity when we need it most. Walking along the beach, with the sound of the waves in my ears and the vastness of the ocean before me, I felt a sense of clarity that I hadn't felt in days. It was as if the beach was helping me to sort through my thoughts, to find the answers I had been looking for.
As the morning progressed, the once quiet beach began to fill with more people. Families arrived with their umbrellas and beach chairs, setting up spots along the shoreline. The tranquil atmosphere I had enjoyed earlier slowly transformed into a lively and bustling scene.

À medida que a manhã avançava, a praia, outrora tranquila, começou a encher-se de mais gente. As famílias chegaram com os seus guarda-sóis e cadeiras de praia, montando pontos ao longo da marginal. A atmosfera tranquila que eu tinha desfrutado anteriormente transformou-se lentamente numa cena animada e movimentada.
Despite the increasing number of visitors, the beach still maintained a sense of calm. The waves continued their steady rhythm, and there was plenty of space for everyone to find their own corner of the sand. The energy of the day was contagious, just as I had during my peaceful morning walk.

I took my time on the return walk, savouring the warmth of the sun and the beauty of the surroundings. I thought about how lucky I was to live so close to such a beautiful place, a place where I could come to recharge and reconnect with nature. Angeiras Sul Beach is more than just a beach to me, a place where I can find peace and clarity whenever I need it.

Aproveitei a caminhada de regresso, saboreando o calor do sol e a beleza da envolvente. Pensei na sorte que tive por viver tão perto de um lugar tão bonito, um lugar onde podia recarregar energias e reconetar-me com a natureza. A Praia de Angeiras Sul é para mim mais do que uma praia, um local onde posso encontrar paz e tranquilidade sempre que preciso.
