RamJula, Rishikesh.

Hello Hive Community.

I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is based on Rishikesh, the yoga city of sages. Rishikesh is a beautiful city located in Paodi district of Uttarakhand state of India. It is a peaceful place surrounded by beautiful mountains. The holy river Ganga flows from Rishikesh. This iron bridge built on the river Ganga is known as Ram Jul. People who go to visit Rishikesh must walk on Ram Jula once. Many events related to Ramayana are also associated with this Ram Jul. I will tell you about it in my today's post and also share beautiful photographs from here.

Rishikesh is associated with many tooth stories. In one of which, Lord Rama appeared as the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Lord Rama had to face many sorrows in his life. He is therefore also known as Marya Purushottam. Lord Rama was to spend 14 years in exile. It is said that Lord Rama, mother Sita and brother Lakshman stayed here during their exile. This bridge has been named Ram Jhula after his name.

Another legend connecting Lord Ram is that the river Ganga passing through here is very turbulent. The sound of the river Ganga passing between the stones can be heard here far and wide. Sitaji once felt unwell and went to bed to rest. But he could not sleep because of the sound of the river. He told that to Prabhu Shri Ram. Prabhu Shri Rama went before Ganga Ji and prayed that O Gangaji you should be quiet here (lower your voice). Then Gangaji accepted Lord Ram's words and calmed down at that place. Still the Ganges flows peacefully around Ram Jhula. Gangaji flows noisily in the rest of the area.

The bridge seen in these photographs is known as Ram Jhula. This bridge is built over the river Ganga to connect the east and west of Rishikesh. The bridge has been built with enough capacity for walking as well as vehicular traffic. This bridge was established in 1980 and the bridge was named Ram Jhula. This bridge is about 700 meters long. And this bridge has been made by giving weight on iron wire. No pillars have been constructed in the river Ganga to support this bridge.

The photograph above shows the view of Ganga from Ram Jula. Ram Jhula represents the bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. Because Lord Ram is convinced of the hardships he had to endure during the exile and still he remained steadfast and completed the exile period.

There are 3 roads in Ram Jula. In which the road on the right side is not for motorized vehicles. While the road on the right side is for heavy vehicles. The middle path is for humans to walk. Hanuman was the supreme devotee of Lord Rama. As can be seen in the above photograph, where the bridge ends, there is a huge picture statue of Hanumanji on the wall. In which Mother Sita and Lord Rama are enthroned on Hanumanji's chest. Hanumanji was a devotee of Lord Rama and Lord Rama also loved Hanumanji the most.

As soon as the bridge is finished, as you exit, there is also a huge picture statue on the outside. In the picture, Love and Kush become brothers practicing archery with mother Sita. Lav and Kuddha are the sons of Lord Ram and are studying Vidya with their mother.

If you get down from Ram Jula and move forward, you will see beautiful natural scenes walking on the banks of Gangaji. The first of the three photographs above shows a huge helipad built on the banks of the Ganges. Along with it, the beautiful and green mountains surrounded by trees are visible on the coast. While the beautiful Ram Jula can be seen in the second photograph. The third photograph shows the beautiful natural scenery on the banks of the river Ganga.

Rishi Kesh is also known as the Sadhana place of Rishi Muni. Here, great sages and sages, we have practiced penance. A legend is also associated here with sage Vashishtha. Vashishtha Rishi Muni was one of the main seven Rishi Munis. Vashishtha Rishi Muni was also a Guru of Lord Rama. Rishi Muni Vashishtha had his ashram here in Puranic times and he used to do sadhana here. The land of Rishi Kesh is so sacred that if you visit Aqua here, you will feel the positive energy in this land.

It is not possible for me to come to Rishi Kesh and not take a dip in Gangaji. According to Hindu scriptures, if I tell you, the river Ganges has got the status of goddess, not a river. All the sins of those who bathe once in the river Ganga with faith are washed away. Whenever Hindus travel to a place of deity, they do not miss to take a dip in the Ganga Ji in Haridwar and Rishikesh.

In the above four photographs I have again shared with you the photographs of Ram Jhula from different angles. This place is so sacred that you can feel its positivity. I used to come and sit on the banks of Gangaji early in the morning and I did not know where the time passed. Another thing to say is that the number of foreigners coming from outside India is also the highest in Rishikesh. In Rishi Kesh there is a lot of work going on for yoga and sadhana. There are also big ashrams here which are booked by people coming from outside India and stay here for months.

It means that tourists visiting Rishikesh come here frequently. There is such positivity in the land that once you are here, you will want to visit again. Also, when you come again, come alone and come with family.

With that, I will end my post today. The photographs that I have put here in this post were captured by me in the camera..

In today's post I have shared with you a lot of information about RamJula, Rishikesh. I hope you like my post as much as possible.

I sincerely thank you for visiting and reading my post.
