Hello everyone. This year we decided to take the chairlift up Hasenhorn Mountain and sled down the winding path. It was our first time trying this. We were a bit scared, but we really wanted to do it. We parked our car at the base of the mountain. Hasenhorn mountain is one of the most fun places in Todtnau. You can take a chairlift up to the top of the mountain. Then you can either ski, snowboard or sled down. And it's not just fun in winter. Even in summer riding the mountain coaster and speeding down is very enjoyable.

We started from the chairlift entrance. Pregnant women and those carrying food are not allowed to enter here. It was a long ride. But this chairlift took us to the top of the mountain. There are sleds in different colors. I was really scared, but since we had come this far, there was no turning back. We bought two tickets. One ticket cost 14 Euros and that included both the ascent and descent. There was also an option to pay extra to block the wind, but we didn’t opt for that. It was around 2:00 pm and it operates from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

We got on the chairlift and started going up. The views were amazing. There was a bit of sun and some clouds, the weather wasn’t too sunny. We had been dreaming of this for a long time. We could already see part of the path we would take to descend. With every passing minute, we were getting higher and the city below was getting smaller, the houses looking tiny. Climbing this mountain was definitely a long journey. Skiers were coming down. One person's backpack was going backward, which was interesting. Perhaps it's not allowed to go down with backpacks.

We were getting closer to the station. At the top of the mountain, there is an observation tower and hiking trails. You can either walk down or like us, sled down. There’s also a cafe here where you can sit and have something to eat if you're hungry.

We made it to the top of the mountain by chairlift. Other people were also heading up and the sleds were being transported by the chairlift too. Below, there was a lovely little town. There were many tourists. You can hike up the mountain or take the chairlift. Bicycles can also be taken up. It’s amazing. We were getting close to the beginning of the winding path. There were people heading down with children.

We put on our hats, zipped up our jackets and hopped on these colorful and beautiful sleds. I was a bit excited. We fastened our seatbelts, they explained what we needed to do and then we started sliding down with joy. It was crazy, amazing.

Friends, come and experience this fantastic adventure. You must try sledding down with these sleds. We are thinking of coming back next time. I had so much fun, I would slide down like this all day if I could. At first I was scared, but it wasn't scary at all. The nature here is beautiful and I really enjoyed it. I was a little messy from the wind and speed. I slid so fast. It was really enjoyable.

After the adventure, we continued our journey in Todtnau. There are beautiful houses here, decorated with flowers everything has been restored, with old tiles and small, low doors. We were going to pick mushrooms in the mountains, but the mushrooms grow here in the windows of the houses.

Flowers were blooming everywhere, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. This town is really beautiful and interesting. The name of the hotel here was Malina. We had never encountered a name like that before. It’s not just a hotel. It's a luxury apartment and spa.

The houses here are well-maintained. Colorful flowers were blooming everywhere, there were extraordinary gardens and olive trees. The fountain in the square was very interesting, with a theme of Fools day. Everyone was wearing fool masks here. I think everyone makes a wish here. We made a wish too. We wished for peace in the world and the end of wars.

There is an ice cream cafe here, where you can also eat meals, pasta or have breakfast. But we weren’t hungry, we just wanted to have ice cream. There are quite a few flavors of ice cream. I love chocolate. We got our ice creams and sat down to eat. It was in this beautiful spot next to St. Johannes Baptist church and it wasn't cold, so eating ice cream was very enjoyable. This ice cream cafe has been serving since 1817 and the ice creams are delicious. We ate and continued to wander around this town.

At the fountain next to the church there is a bust of Julius Scherer, who was the pastor of this church from 1875 to 1908. We entered the church and there were beautiful paintings on the second floor. There are drinkable taps here and it's possible to take holy water. I really liked the mosaics. They were so voluminous, it felt like they were pulling you in, really interesting design.

The church has a wooden ceiling. Sunlight enters through the stained glass, shining as if there were lamps lit there. There are two stone towers, but the wooden ceiling is quite interesting. There is also a special room here, where the light turns on when you enter. You can throw money into the donation box, take a used candle, light it and pray. The used candles collect in a bucket. I’ve never seen such a place before. There is also a corner here where you can sit and pray, a special area.

We placed our candles, prayed and then headed back home. It was a beautiful day. We had a very special and wonderful day. We had so much fun, experienced so many emotions and sledding down the winding path was an unforgettable experience. We will definitely come back here. If you come to our area make sure to visit, because you'll have an unforgettable experience.
