This is my first post here

and I am excited to share my weekend in Seqouyah State Park Oklahoma US.

I do a lot of van life camping so I will probably be posting again really soon after my next trip.

Right now, my sleeping set up is Single size memory foam mattress on the floor of my Toyota Sienna with the middle seats removed.

This is known as a no build van life setup because it doesn't require additional building weight.

Anyways, enough about me and my set up lol

I paid $15 per night to camp in my van at the Sequoyah State Park.

I stayed in the Choctaw Camping Area and it was completely empty except during the day.

Probably too cold for other campers hahaha

It got down to 35 degrees at night on this trip, but I stayed warm by layering up in my blankets and sleeping bag.

The park is nestled along the shores of Fort Gibson Lake, and the serene views, combined with the crisp fall air, made for an unforgettable camping experience.

I spent most of my time hiking the trails and enjoying the natural beauty on display.

From hiking trails to horseback riding at the Sequoyah Riding Stables, and even the on-site golf course, this park is packed with activities I’m itching to try.

I also learned about the Three Forks Nature Center, which offers a closer look at local wildlife and is perfect for anyone who loves nature education.

The lake itself is a playground for boating, fishing, and kayaking – none of which I had the chance to do this time but are definitely on my list for my next visit.

Further down the trail I snapped this sweet photo of the sun shining through the trees.

You can't really tell what it is from all the photos I took but there was a small dog statue on the golf course over there.

I walked back to my van after this and discovered the Park Ranger had left me a ticket.

If you dont have over night reservations please be careful parking around this place because they tried to charge me $20 just for parking when I already had the reservations.

Thankfully the office was able to reassure me that this was a mistake.

Woke up to this deer snackin on the foliage near my van on the second morning.

Too coold for this trip but definitely want to come back next year to swim XD

This was a really impromptu trip, and I spent way more money than I wanted to on food since I didn't cook for myself.

The only savings I achieved were in the form of a military discount and on my coffee since I managed to bring some with me.

McDonalds was serving those McGriddles hot and fresh, so I picked one up on the way out of town.

The next town over has several options in restaurants and fast food as well as anything else you may need making this a solid spot to camp out for awhile.

I could see myself coming back here next year and staying for the full 2 weeks that are allowed.

Maybe I will bring my moped and try to make some extra money on doordash in town?
