A few days ago when I was traveling to a dam in Juli village, Bireuen district, during the visit I managed to find a very beautiful place with a stretch of nature that is still pristine and a very wide irrigation channel. And after capturing some of the beauty of the irrigation I was curious about the water source of the irrigation, "you can see the beauty of the place in my post a few days ago", well because at that time I was curious about the water source of the irrigation I started walking upstream from the irrigation in the hope of finding the water source of the irrigation.
Luckily when we explored the irrigation area, we could do it by motorbike because there was motorbike access in that place. Maybe after traveling for about 16 minutes I finally saw a very large dam right in front of my eyes, yes, it is possible that the dam is the dam that is the source of water for this irrigation.
But I myself am not so sure about the truth because the distance between me and the dam is still very far, but if I pay attention, the irrigation source is indeed under the dam but what is behind the dam I don't know yet so to answer my curiosity I walked to get closer to the dam.
when I was very close to the location of the dam, I was so surprised to see behind the dam there was a very large river that I myself did not know before, so on the way to the dam I heard the sound of water and it turned out to come from this river. I can not express my feelings at that time because I was very surprised and happy.
My curiosity was immediately answered 100%, it turned out that the water from the irrigation came from this river, a very large river stretched out before my eyes which made the atmosphere at that time lively and very happy. I did not know this place before so this became a journey full of valuable discoveries.
But as soon as I turned to the right, I saw a very large dam in front of my eyes, and seeing the dam immediately made me curious to immediately climb it.
And to climb this dam is not difficult because there are stairs there that make me climb the stairs one by one slowly but surely, what makes me curious to climb this dam is because I want to see more of the surrounding scenery such as the river and also the distribution of irrigation.
And as I had hoped before, once I reached the top of the dam, I could see a wide view around the dam.
But it will be very risky when we are in the dam because the fence is only on the outside, while on the inside there is no fence so it will be very dangerous if we are not careful when exploring this dam. And in some of the pictures above, the river and the extraordinary architecture of the dam building are clearly visible.
But when I was walking on the dam, I saw a road right at the end of the dam, but at that time I was a little hesitant to walk on the road because there was no fence on the road, but at that time I was very curious about the beauty of the river above, so I decided to fight my fear and started walking on the road at the end of the dam.
Of course, this is a very risky thing to do considering that there are no fences on the road, plus the road is made of cement that looks very fragile, but I wouldn't be able to see a view as beautiful as this if I hadn't walked on this road.
The river above looks calmer than the river below because the water in the river above is blocked by a dam. This allows water to enter the dam to be channeled to the irrigation channel. This is a very beautiful sight because besides being able to see the beauty of the river, I can also see the beauty of the open nature which is very calming.
But this dam is so big, I wouldn't be able to explore the whole dam if I just stood on the side of this road, so after enjoying the beauty of the river I started walking again to continue exploring this dam.
From the picture above you can see how calm the water is in the river above and how fast the water is in the river below. This is because of or caused by the presence of the dam. This was a very enjoyable moment for me because I could explore this large dam as best I could.
However, there was still one side of the dam that I had not visited, namely the side of the dam that was right above the source of the irrigation flow, so I immediately walked towards that side slowly and passed through this very small road.
My curiosity was answered, even on top of the dam I could also see the irrigation channels that flowed directly from this dam, and the water from the irrigation was water from this very large river. This was my very successful exploration because I was able to find what I expected.
When I felt satisfied exploring the dam, I immediately decided to go down from the top of the dam because my friend was waiting for me below.
After going down the dam steps, I arrived at the bottom. Once I arrived at the bottom, I immediately ate some of the supplies that I had bought at the beginning of the trip. When I wanted to eat the supplies, I chose the right place, which was on the edge of the irrigation channel.
