Hello Traveling
Every location and every person has a unique beauty, and they can all be seen with the right eyes.
This is because, at best, those who look good will forgive us, and at worst, those who look bad will hate us.
Here are some photos I took while visiting Mount Gamkonora, which was slightly obscured by the thick haze. I did not travel here alone. However, while traveling with friends, we went up and down the road in this summit area, and when I was up there, I took some photos, because although it was visible from a distance, it was quite interesting. This is the summit of Mount Gamkonora, located in Ibu Sub-district, West Halmahera Regency, Halmahera Island, North Maluku Province. Indonesia.
The peak of Mount Gamkonora is visible at the opposite end, as far as the eye can see.
Here are some photos from the beginning of our step-by-step hike to the summit on foot.
At the summit, the view was absolutely stunning.
Gamkonora volcano last erupted in 1673, which is considered its most powerful eruption. Subsequent eruptions, in 2007 and 2012, were less impactful, but left behind a crater that stretches from north to south, as you can see below.
Up close, the water in the crater of Mount Gamkonora is crystal clear. When filled with water from rainfall, the crater can turn into a lake. Before starting our hike to the summit, we took a short break there.
I came with my friends because I didn't come alone, and we had a great time there until we had to leave.
After resting in this crater, we started chatting with each other before climbing to the top of Mount Gamkonora.
Then, as shown in the photo below, we went on a hiking trip together.
Although the hike was rather steep and rocky and there were many small rocks on the left and right, we had to be very careful.
We let go of the backpacks that were on our shoulders as we approached the summit because this hike left us physically exhausted.
As we stood at the top of Mount Gamkonora and took in the breathtaking view, our exhaustion finally subsided. I even managed to take a few photos of us inside the crater. In addition, on Halmahera Island, at the foot of the mountain, to the summit of Mount Gamkonora, during our time here together, made this trip a very special trip for us and the most memorable trip for me and my other friends, because we saw the most beautiful scenery on this mountain which has an altitude of 1,635 meters above sea level, and witnessed the highest peak.
Thank you for watching as we traveled to the top of Mount Gamkonora. God bless you everyone.
