Hello everyone. This time, I visited the tomb of one of the Sunan people in Central Java. In Javanese culture, "Sunan" is an honorary title given to a person who is respected for his achievements in spreading religion and culture, especially Islam. The tomb is located at Jalan Raden Sahid in Kadilang, Demak, Central Java and is a highly respected site within the community.
Upon arriving here, we were greeted by a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. The entrance to this tomb looks solid, with typical Javanese architecture full of traditional designs. It was around 5pm and the sky was starting to cloud over, giving it a somewhat mystical feel. We still had a long journey left to East Java, so we intentionally stayed a little late and arrived in the evening so as not to be late.
There were some very interesting statues around the tomb. Two of them depict people studying: one of them is a statue of a person who appears very serious and focused on reading, while the other shows a person who appears lazy and unwilling to pay attention. These statues seem to depict Sunan's life of hard work and dedication to study and teaching. In his teachings, Sunan always emphasized the importance of serious pursuit of knowledge, and the statue of the lazy student could be a symbol of why we should not give up easily in our pursuit of knowledge. !
This short visit really gave me a lot of lessons. Despite the fact that I came to a limited time, I felt that I was inspired by the value of training in Sunan, especially patience and honesty. Before continuing my journey to East Java, I made sure to pray and observe a minute of silence at this significant place. This visit to Sunan's tomb really reminded me of the importance of their struggle to spread religion and culture in Java. Thank you for watching and following my journey, I hope the stories and experiences I share will inspire you and give you new ideas. See you on the next trip!
