Apparently spending time with my family has been one of my favorite journeys.
I love going places but the best place I love visiting more is the beach or waterside. I don't know, I always feel at peace whenever I am just looking at the waves and water going back and forth.
I went to the beach during the festive period last December, it was a bit crowded though but I still love the feeling and vibe it gives, with the waves washing down my feet.
To crown it all I have to sit on a horse back, I really haven't ridden one before though but it sure was scary. Though my big head sister will say otherwise
A Lot of folks all over Lagos came to the beach on new year eve. Some believe it washes away their pains and problems from the previous year, somewhere actually placing items in the form of sacrifices just to ask for favor from the water spirit.
In Africa some folks believe the water is very spiritual and can either take or help grant whatever you want. But the scary part is some have actually lost their lives in the water either by swimming or just playing with it, that is why we sometimes get scared going close to the waters over here.
Well practically i just came to the beach just for the fun of it and nothing more. And seeing some folks even bathing and swimming at the beach shore just cracks me up.
Despite the fact that I love this beach, I still haven't been to my dream one. My next beach sightseeing would probably be a quiet one where I can feel the wind and listen to the waters without sharing that beautiful moment with any strangers..
