A Day Exploring the Bell Church in Baguio, City

Baguio City is one of the dream places that most of us want to visit. It's where you can see the purest of nature and the cool breeze of weather touches your body. The feeling of being free on the top is awesome. Walking to the different scenery of the place is worth it.

One of the beautiful historical destinations when we visit Baguio City is the "BELL CHURCH", in Balili, La Trinidad, Benguet. It was situated on the border to Baguio City and La Trinidad Benguet, an elaborate Chinese Taoist Temple. It is a temple of religious, historical, and cultural significance for the local Chinese Filipino community of the province.

The temple was remarkably built on an elevated site of 10,000 square meters. The Bell Church was founded by Chinese immigrants from Canton, China on August 4, 1960, in Mountain Province (now Benguet). They were devotees of the Buddhist monk Ji Gong. The temple is sacred and a place of worship and visitors are expected to be respectful. The temple is a two-minute walk from the main highway and is accessible by all kinds of vehicles before you can tour the entire place, an environmental fee of Php 20.00 or 0.35 USD.

It was noon time when we reached the place yet it did not stop me from walking and being wowed to the place. This is amazing! At the stairs, you can see the calligraphies of Chinese inscriptions lining the welcoming walls of the temple.

In the inner portion, you can see temple gates and beautiful landscapes guarded by dragons on the edge. There are also Chinese temples that serve as worship places for the visitors.

Sophisticated Chinese pavilions, ponds, and guardian lions are being placed in the entire area. At the center, you can see big signage of "BELL CHURCH BAGUIO" in a wide landscape with colorful yellow-green plants on the side. The beautiful landscape in the place adds to the magical beauty of the area.

The devotees had to walk up the stairs to see some of the remarkable Chinese temples. On the top, you will also be amazed to see almost the entire beauty of Baguio City.

The colorful houses on top of the mountains were being seen. Walking at the top may be exhausting but when you reach the top, it's a delight. The cold breeze of the fresh air touches your bare face.

This is an example of the Chinese Temples on top. You need to walk up the stairs to see this amazing temple.

You will know you've reached the top if you see the Golden Bell, representing unity and harmony.

The hit of the sun doesn't stop us from visiting this magical and amazing tourist destination in Baguio. The place truly speaks of the richness of Chinese culture. It's a one-time opportunity that we can go to this place for we don't know when could we go back here so let's enjoy, and cherish every moment. Create wonderful and amazing memories in the place you visit.

The same goes for other tourist destinations in Baguio City, travelers have to respect the place for this is a solemn place for some people so observe silence when we get inside this place. Taking photos is only allowed outside the temples but it's forbidden to capture photos inside the temples.

That's all for today's blog my dear Hive friends. Hope you enjoy and be amazed at the place I've shared with you. You can check the place for those who want to visit Baguio City.

Have a nice day everyone. 😊

That's interesting church! I mean at first I thought it was pagodas and Confucius worship place.

It was a worship church for Chinese believers in the place.
