Discovering Camp Morri: A Newbie’s Experience

If you’re new to camping, just like us, or seeking a serene getaway from the city, Camp Morri in Antipolo, Rizal, is the perfect spot to start your outdoor adventure. Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Antipolo, Camp Morri offers a welcoming environment for beginners with its stunning views, easy-to-navigate trails, and comfortable amenities. Here’s what we experienced on our first visit to Camp Morri.

The journey to Camp Morri is part of the experience, offering glimpses of Rizal’s relaxing views. The 1-hour drive is a relaxing prelude to the natural beauty that awaits you at the camp.

Upon arrival, the first thing you’ll notice is the breathtaking scenery. We crossed a stream surrounded by lush forests and open meadows.

We arrived at the location around 6:30 AM. Campers are invited to set up their tents at their preferred spots. We came early, but some campers were already there, having spent the night before at Camp Morri. We chose a spot near a faucet and not too far from the comfort rooms.

After setting up our tent, we reheated the pan de sal that we bought outside, paired with kapeng barako. We enjoyed our morning just staying in our tent and appreciating the beauty and serenity of the place..

For our lunch, my wife prepared a simple dish using mixed vegetables and rice. She enjoyed preparing food for our little family, making sure that we ate healthy, good food.

In the late afternoon, we went back to the stream to cool down a bit. It was quite hot and humid that day, and the cold water in the stream really helped a lot.

We opted for a morning stay because we were hesitant to spend the night. The main reason was that we are still new to this kind of outdoor activity and we did not bring enough batteries for our mini fan for our little one.

Camp Morri in Rizal is an excellent choice for newbies looking to experience the joys of camping and nature. With its accessible location, stunning scenery, and range of beginner-friendly activities, it’s the perfect spot to start your outdoor adventures. The campsite has little to no mobile signal strength, which encourages campers to relish nature's beauty. So pack your bags, try Camp Morri, and share your experience with us.
