Greeting my dear Hive fellows.
The Beihe Forest Park is beautiful and large, and it is next to my living area in Miyun City. So, it is quite easy for me to visit the park this winter when I wake up very late at the weekend, almost at noon. I have written the first part of the visit to this park in my previous post. Today, I am going to take you deeper into the park, where the part of the Park is connected with the Beihe River. After walking for around 1 hour, I found the river, which is much more beautiful and attractive than the other part of the park. Though it was getting late and the sun was setting down, I was determined to cover as much area of the Park as possible. I always do the same thing, especially when I buy a ticket at a good price, more than 10 bucks; I try to cover all the possible views that are available in the spot as it is not possible to go there a second time. For that, I walked much faster and spent less time scrutinizing the map again and again but made my whole plan during the entry into the spot.
I started my exploration from the left side, and the River bank was on the right side because I had seen the river before I entered the park from the bus station. So, I wanted to explore the deeper section and walk through the middle of the park as there is no water in some lower land, which used to be wetlands in summer or rainy season as I have seen some parts of the wetland are frozen, and many children were playing with the ice. Some were skating on the ice; some were digging ice and so many visitors, especially parents, were taking care of their children's activities in this area. From the mid of the park, I went to the right side as I heard a lot of noise from there, and I found a beautiful bridge on the river that connected the forest Park with the nearby high road and some communities nearby. I realized that most of the people were from these nearby communities, it is a great place to live just by the amazing park and the river and the mountains, just like your dream place.
The river is dried most of the part, and the dried grass makes it an amazing beauty with a golden colour due to the reflection of the afternoon light from the sun. I walked downward the river till the dense grass area appeared, and I realised that there was a little bit of water and led deeper part was completely frozen. I found some families there with their children who were enjoying the frozen river and throwing stones on the ice. But it could be more fascinating if the grasses were cleaned and I could walk on the ice.
After I came close to the river bridge, I came to explore far better views as the bridge was quite high from the ground level, as you can see in my photos. From the middle of the bridge, the surroundings were much more stunning and attractive. I found many local people from the surrounding community were coming into he park using this beautiful bridge.
The water below the bridge area was quite clean and few grasses in this area and I found that the water here is not completely frozen. Some boys were checking the upper ice layer which was not strong enough to walk on as the water level was slightly deeper here and there was a flow of water at this point that make the water unfrozen still then.
This winter, Beijing has not got any snowing yet, so the surrounding area of the park is bare, and the grasses are dried, which makes different views with the clear and blue sky as the background. I think the views could be quite interesting if there was snow already on the ground and the white beauty could enhance the beauty of the whole park to the next level. But still, the bare ground with brown grasses make the views aristocratic.
There are dried leaves in the forestry area as most of the wetland of the parks seems to be completely empty now, and the trees are covered according to the park plan. But I found the huge empty spaces which are covered with brown grasses. Through the entry point through which I entered the park, cycles were not allowed, but in the deeper section, there are some routes for cycling, and the main gate by the Beihe River allows cycles to enter the park. I hope I am going to come here again with my bicycle in the coming spring.
I hope you like my photos of the beautiful park that was enlightened by the golden rays of the afternoon sun, making the whole ground and tree branches take a golden color. It was an amazing experience to experience such a large and beautiful park in the winter in Miyun district, to discover different diversions of beauty, and to enjoy my Beijing life! If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wish you a great weekend!
