Greetings, my dear Hive fellows.
Welcome to the 2nd part of mountain hiking in the northern region of Beijing.
There are many mountains in the northern area. So, as a nature lover, I want to keep going to see these natural gems. Yunmeng Mountain is a stunning mountain on the western shore of a large lake in Miyun City. If you missed my first part of the blog on Yunmeng Mountain, then you can have a look at this link. To explore further, I went to deeper areas of the Yunmeng Mountains.
The area becomes more lively with its beautiful greenish appearance. The far view of the Miyun Reservoir gives it a stunning view from the peaks from some viewpoints. The prestigious "AAAA" grade is a perfect evaluation of China's tourist system. The tiring hiking in the deeper area becomes more harder as the routes and paths are not properly maintained due to stones and rocky surfaces.
Some points are just carved a little bit for the boot placement for the tourists on the hard rocky mountain surface, which are risky to climb up to the mountain peak. Though there were hand railings on both sides of the route, that is very helpful and necessary for the tourists, especially for the children and elderly people.
Such picturesque views will never make you feel tired throughout your whole journey to the beautiful valley.
The rocky surface of these mountains is still evergreen with the passage of thousands thousands of years throughout world history.
The green surrounding will sooth your eyes, and the strong wind throughout the valley will soothe your lungs with fresh oxygen.
The Yunmeng Mountains' beautiful spot is like heaven for people who love nature and like to walk or climb mountains. It is a great place to explore the earth's process toward civilization and the realization how tiny creature we are in reality.
The place is not a hub of beauty and peace, but it has some age-old ancient history for the Chinese people, which I came to know from one of my Hive friends. This beautiful mountain was once thought to be a living place for the Gods. I also learned how mountain lakes are so important in the ancient history of the Chinese civilization. And I can understand why I always explore mountains, rocks, lakes are everywhere in most of the tourist spots in China, especially when it is a place related to the ancient Chinese history of it's enriched civilization.
The water flowing through the rocks is often a place of eternal beauty with its standstill reflection of the sky and the green scenarios of the valley. And this stream is like the leader towards our destination throughout our journey.
Though the amount of water is so low, during this period of time, the stream has a great impact on the vegetation of the valleys. The only source of water for the thousands of fish in those tiny water bodies is this only stream. And I have seen that there was plenty of food in the water of this stream.
My goal is set to get to the top of the mountains and enjoy the view from there, which is also tough on this hard hiking trail. The good thing is that it is the perfect time of the year to complete it. The weather was amazing that day. It lasted two days, raining has cleaned the air perfectly to have the farthest views from the mountain top.
I was also thinking about the scenery during the winter season, when most of the area will lose its green color during the long winter because it will stay covered in snow. Maybe I will come back again in the fall, when the view will get another look with the colorful leaves just before the winter.
The scenery in Yunmeng is rough for travel, dramatic to discover fro various angles of view, and the rocks add to its beauty a feeling of a different planet. Along a stream that came down from a mountain, the hiking trail is very lively too, in another sense. The sound of the water wasn't very loud because the water level was so low, but the sound of the birds and bees was more intense due to the starting of the summer season.
Throughout the journey, the scenarios were becoming more fancy to explore as the deeper areas were seemingly more wild, and few people entered the deeper areas. Also, the amount of water flowing through the stream was increasing slightly compared to the initial state, which was like a dying river.
Yunmeng Mountain is an excellent location to escape from the hectic professional life for a while. Whether you're a skilled hiker or simply looking for a day trip destination to take in some stunning views, this natural marvel is well worth visiting. Also, the environment in this far (110 km from the Beijing city centre) area is also very clean and healthier.
This is a temple known as the Black Dragon temple is situated at the top of the mountain from where the great view of the lake can be seen.
I hope you like my tour of such a fantastic place with great exploration. It was amazing to have such tours to a fantastic place like this, with the discovery of natural beauty and knowledge of the ancient world, to enjoy and lose myself away from my busy life! If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wish you a great day!
