Greetings, my dear Hive fellows.
Welcome to my travel story of visiting Jingshan Park in the heart of Beijing.
In the first week of May, I enjoyed a beautiful five-day break from work, which is the May Day vacation in China. It gave me a great chance to find Beijing's hidden gems. After exploring more than a dozen places in the city, I found that Jingshan Park was still left behind in my travel history. Furthermore, it is right behind the famous Forbidden Kingdom, the top tourist destination. Also, the spring season is the best time to visit such royal gardens, so it was at the top of my list.
I didn't know earlier that Jingshan Park would bring so many things to explore and I left behind for so long. I was pretty amazed to discover a fantastic tourist spot with an entry fee of only 2 RMB (the lowest in China), which has so much beauty, like enjoying a combo. It includes beautiful views from the city center, some historical buildings, and the top of a beautiful mountain, where I had to fight through holiday crowds. I have separate blogs on the mountain views and the flower garden of the park already.
Today, I want to take you to the original Jingshan Park legacy with he structural heaven with many buildings with traditional chinese architecture, many statues with he temples, and the amazing beauty of every corner of this fascinating park. Jingshan Park is very close to the center of Beijing, and getting it is easy. The park is made up of hundreds of flower gardens and green walkways that are all well taken care of by many people.
In all the public parks and tourist destinations in Beijing, you can realize that the Beijing Municipal is very careful about the plants and trees it plants all over the city. There is thick, rich greenery all over the ground in the park. Bright flowers and tall trees make amazing views of natural beauty in the park. The center hill that made Jingshan Park a true hidden gem from there, you could see the city.
This is the main premises of the largest temple of Jingshan Park and many people were seen to worship the Buddha here and there of this area.
Every corner of the temple looks stunning with attractive colors and designs that resemble the Chinese arts and traditional expertise in beautification.
This is a far-distance view of the main temple that is located in the middle mountain. That temple peak was closed that day so I couldn't enter into it that day.

I first looked around the vast plain area around the park containing the flower gardens and many buildings for the temples and others for the other purposes related to the emperors' services or resting cottages. The park is huge enough to gather dozens of thousands of tourists and I can see so many visitors due to the the holidays made it more enjoyable to visit.
There were a lot of people walking slowly around the temples area, gardens area where the beautiful flowers were blooming. It looked like all of Beijing's tourists had gathered here to see the divine beauty of the park. I have started exploring these fascinating structures and enjoyed some history written on these locations in the English language which I enjoyed.
I saw many people were making blogs and many tiktokers were live in streaming around the beautiful locations all around the park area. I moved slowly to the crowded area to explore everything more carefully. A lot of the time, I would stop to enjoy the beautiful sculptures and inscribed stones.
The inscribed dragon on the white stones looks amazing though the color has been destroyed due to the decay over time.
There are lots of bright colors and beautiful scenery in Beijing in the spring, especially at the start of May. Nature lover or the history lover, both will love Jingshan Park, which has lovely Chinese buildings and sculptures as well as great natural beauty.
The park is very famous as it very close to the popular tourist spot Forbidden Kingdom. It has just as many beautiful flowers as the summer palace, but it is smaller and doesn't have a big lake.
This photo was taken inside the temple where there were many seats surrounding the main emperor's seat. This one is the middle one and I think this one for the emperor or the main responsible authority here.
The white-stone lions and other inscribed statues are beautiful. Though they have some significance and meaning in China I don't know most of their significance but I always explore them everywhere.
